My tickets to the final show are not really the final show anymore! I won't be able to tell my grandkids I was at the final show! My life is ruined! Now I'm stuck with tickets to see the ABB on a plain ol' Saturday night at the Beacon! What am I going to do?!?!?! When I saw that announcement I knew it was only a matter of time before the bitchfest began. Final show - who cares? The final Saturday show isn't good enough? That could end up being the best show of the run. I guess some folks just don't know how to go and have a good time.

you may be right, but ABB management could have easily made the 2 new shows before and not at the end. So from my perspective, the band took an opportunity to make even more money now by billing these as the "last shows"...hey, its all about our fans.

Exactly. Bunches of people on the 26th were excited ( including myself and I had the 26th and 29th ) to see the anniversary show and now its not an anniversary show. Big whoop. It will still be 2 great shows and I will consider it a near miracle if I even see a ticket for the 2 added dates let alone actually buy one.

You have no clue as to what dates are available at The Beacon. Just because you you see an open date on the public calendar doesn't mean that date is available. Bands/promoters place holds on dates months before announcing the show.

Your delusional if you don't think there is something special about being at the "last show." Yes, they may be playing the same notes on the same guitars as they played two nights before, but I guarantee there is added emotion for the band and the audience. Why do you attend concerts? I attend for the experience that live music provides. The experience is more than how good the music is that is being performed. I will listen to a CD if I want to hear the best track. It is largely made up of emotion and you can bet your ass that the emotion in the building on the "last night" will be through the roof.

Actually, I do have a clue on what dates are available at the Beacon...The band told us. So explain this to me. They are playing the 21,22,24,25,27 and 28. Why are the two new shows on the 27th and 28th? Why couldn't they be...hmmm...let me see....ummm....maybe the 21 and 22nd?

Easy, a Monday or Tuesday at the beginning of the run would have a lot less demand then a Monday or Tuesday at the end... gotta sell those Gold and Silver Packages... and also canít forget those overpriced tickets in the secondary market that the band nor management have any affiliation with.

Probably because they wanted to keep the days the same - keep weekend shows on a weekend.

I am sorry cause I have the date as well but the 29th was the announced final show of the Beacon run but when we all bought them they were already part of added dates. So those of us with the 29th were already sold tickets after the original " final" date of the 10 night run. Secondly it was the final Beacon show with no announcement at the time of what the future held for the brand name. Now this "final" show is the final show period and that is a way different matter and nobody except those who like to whine about anything really should expect that to be the same as it would have been if the March 29 show had gone off as expected. The final show at the Beacon with an undermined future is NOT the same as an announced final date for the band anywhere.

I agree that the last show will be historic. Will it be the best of the run? Who knows. I imagine the back stage scene will be nuts. Lots of people wanting attention. Probably a long break in between sets. Maybe a loose vibe.

Or the professional musicians may step up and play the best Allman Brothers music ever heard.

what should a fan expect for ticket prices on the newly released shows?

The same as the March Beacon run or higher prices?

Complete BS that the added shows are after the original Final shows
Great , the ABB don't support people using Stub Hub or other outlets
But when you have no choice because you had to buy a c. d in order to get a Chance at getting tickets
Then all the tickets are " Sold Out" in under 5 min and are all on Stub Hub
We don't have a choice now do we ?
I will enjoy the living hell out of my show in Oct
But after that , not one more dime of mine goes into their ( ABB ) pockets
Bad business practice for years now on their part
I have finally had it
Over 50 shows the last 10 years for me
This one is the last
I will support the Mule and the DTB and have a great time without spending a fraction of the money
Enjoy your shows people
The road finally ended for me
On a real sour note

They weren't gonna make the 2 last shows they cancelled the last they play .How could they not get higher ticket pricefor those shows then .As much as we loved the band ,the last year showed us that in the end its always about the money. Lets enjoy and remember its the Allman bros band ,when Warren and Derek leave that's it .It doesn't matter if its the first or last show the band doesn't care because it wont be the last show they play together .they still haven't put together that spin yet .100% they will be announcing ,where ever its played ,the final shows ever played as the Allman Brothers and get there fans to shell out even higher prices . They will not replace the boys .You will see Gregs solo bands having ex members pop up .the drummers will do there thing ,.Derek will do his ,and Warren will be everywhere as usual . I think bands like TTB will have a rude awakening when they don't have the Brothers touring dates to piggyback off of .Those 120 price tickets they have seen are from mostly fans that are Beacon AAB diehards will start to disappear once the ABB is off the table. Hopefully D trucks takes a page out of Warrens book and guest shots and play with a lot of others beside Susan ....

That was my thought as well. Can Gregg last six shows? Or will the "old" last show become the "new" last show.

Wah, Wah Wah is right. I figure unless the show is your backyard, wherever you are on the planet and free the Brothers are all A$$holes.

Cmon folks its a business, always has been always will be.

I just like the music and I understand risk.m Some things work out, others don't. If you are spending your hard earned money on this band, I would suggest for many that they are taking to much risk. Be prepared to loss it all, if not don't go.

A lot of fans have to stay home because they already burned their hard earned money making arrangements to attend shows which never took place.
