Duff McKagan returned to Guns N’ Roses last night (April 6), playing the first of five concerts in South America while regular GNR bassist Tommy Stinson prepares for his own reunion with the Replacements.

Axl Rose, giving a tongue-in-cheek welcome for a collaborator who worked with GNR from 1985–1997, asked fans at Estadio Ferrocarril Oeste in Buenos Aires, Argentina to give “a hearty welcome to the new guy, Mr. Duff McKagan.”

McKagan was featured on vocals during a cover of the Misfits‘ ‘Attitude,’ and the Stooges‘ ‘Raw Power’ over the course of a set that also included familiar cuts from his earlier tenure like ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ ‘November Rain,’ ‘Used to Love Her’ and, as part of the encore, ‘Patience’ and ‘Paradise City.’ Ironically, he’d last played on stage as a member of Guns N’ Roses in Argentina, nearly two decades back.

“It’s pretty great to play these songs again,” McKagan said in a statement. “And l’m looking forward to playing some gigs with my pal again. South America is always a radical place for rock ‘n’ roll … and I’m honored to be doing this thing, in that place.”

McKagan will also appear in Guns N’ Roses show set for April 9 at Asuncion, Paraguay, April 12 at La Paz, Bolivia, April 15 at Recife, Brazil on April 15 and April 17 at Fortaleza, Brazil. He had previously joined Rose on stage for a few songs in 2010 and 2011 before rumors started swirling last week about these new shows.

Now if only Izzy came out for a few tunes. For me Izzy was the heart of GnR and it was never the same without him. But it's cool to see Duff back in the fold for a few shows.

The things we do for money. Duff cashes in so he can then spend time not making money with his other projects. Good for him.

Never going to happen. Slash can't stand the guy and his solo career is doing well.

On the day in Montreal when Hetfield got burnt cutting Metallica's set short, Axl refused to go on earlier and when he finally did, he walked off after a few songs which caused a riot. After Axl walked away, slowly each member disappeared as they figured out he wasn't coming back. Leaving Slash on stage alone, he played a bit and you could tell that he felt like sh*t. Stadium full of fans just ready to devour and Axl screwed them. Slash told us that it was a low point career wise.

Slash has done great for himself and I hope tthe money is never a big enough bribe.

This is a song form Duff's band Walking Papers called "The Whole World's Watching ".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=truRZcIJOe4&feature=player_detailpage

I like it, the whole cd is pretty solid and a good listen for me. The vocals are VERY strong,
that guy has alot of power and can belt it out. I think I heard at one time he tried out for
Velvet Revolver.

Slash's last effort with Myles, Apocalyptic Love , I thought was his best release since leaving GNR. You can go tot Slash's website and watch Reel To Reel". It's about the making of his upcoming release.

There are 7 episodes you can watch. Here is the link to his website and you can page down to the bottom and they start there.
http://slashonline.com/main/#

I think if there was a defintion of "Cool A Rocks Star" in the dictionary, Slashs picture would be right beside it. He seems like a pretty good dude,I have heard interviews with him and appears to be genuinely nice. I saw him about 1 1/2 yrs ago in a small hall down town Indy. Fun show and good band with him . Myles really can sing. It would have been interesting to hear what that whole Zep thing would have been with him. I remember watching Eddie Trunk's show a few years back and Ed asked him about it . Myles seemed like he really did not want to talk about it and did not elaborate. I dont think it was anything bad, but just probably out of repsect for the situation that he particapated in. Who knows.. just my opinion.

They are going on the road with Aerosmith this summer. And I think also there will be other dates too on they're own. Probably would be a good show to see only if Aerosmith drops all of they're MTV hits.
