Article from the huffington post

March 22, 2014 09:26 PM EST | AP

NEW YORK (AP) Bronchitis has sidelined Gregg Allman for at least two dates of the Allman Brothers Band's annual shows at the Beacon Theatre, but his rep says the musician hopes to return to the stage in a few days.

Allman was forced to sit out shows Friday and Saturday. Michael Lehman says Allman is under a doctor's care and is doing better and intends to return for the group's final four shows over the next week.

Lehman says the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had been feeling fine up until the illness; the 66-year-old has had health issues in the past, including a 2010 liver transplant.

The band is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. Its annual run at the Beacon started March 7 and wraps up March 29.

Gregg probably already has a nebulizer. Filling the receptacle with Natural Immunogenics Sovereign Silver aerosolizes the charged particle, free state silver that is exclusive to Sovereign Silver that annihilates lung infections PLUS causes cell dedifferentiation and redifferentiation (healing restoration of lung tissue). There is no virus or bacteria that has been found that can withstand this particular silver. Documented. Non-toxic with no side effects. I can refer top health professionals/doctors to back this up. Much love ...

Hopefully he comes back. I would be pissed if I had tickets to the shows he missed (who needs more of Warren Haynes histrionics?). Frankly, Gregg has been on borrowed time since the precise date of 4/1/1975 and I would not be at all surprised if something like this illness finished him off.

Well there you go.

Saw the show sans Gregg Friday night. Yes I was disappointed by the announcement that he would not be at the show. As someone who has been attending Beacon show for over 20 years I would say Warren would be missed much more than Gregg though. What exactly are Warren's histrionics?

Hope Gregg feels better, but the shows without him have been great, too. I'm going Tuesday and really want to see him, but if he misses it I'm sure I will enjoy a great evening of music.

I do not know the person who posted about 4/1/75 (what is that date, anyway?); Gregg dying or Warren's histrionics - I am guessing that they don't exactly feel that Love is everywhere. As far as Warren being even more missed than Gregg, I gotta agree. That man has rejuvenated/saved this band twice now. I will take Mr. Haynes any night (or afternoon). I also hope Gregg can get back behind the Hammond soon.

Either way, I feel lucky that I'm going on the Allman's Last Night at The Beacon.

I hope Gregg regains his health on a long term basis. I passed on tickets this year.
Just as I passed on reading most of the posts on this thread.
Prices, much like expectations, are way too high.
If you want to go fishing, that would be okay.

We attended mass at St. Paul the Apostle Church and the Reverend said he would say a prayer for Gregg, that these bands have to stay together as long as possible.

Warren Haynes - Derek Trucks aside - may be the person least prone to histrionics that I can imagine.
