Heading up on 3-19. Have not been to a Beacon show in many, many years but how can I miss this run?

Anyhow, got a hotel close by. What do I need to know? What shouldn't I bring in with me? Show starts at 8:30 but should I get there at 8? 7:30? Food? Drinks? Other? Pre-game ideas?

actually all you have to do is spend a 20 minutes perusing the Beacon forum and you will find plenty of topics and suggestions on a Beacon shoe

I did that, kind of. I saw a couple of bars and that the show starts at 8:30. My message had a hidden question in there as well. Will continue going through the pages, though!

you get get in at 7. drink and get like pretzels/m&m's and whatnot. Better off going to a local bar for happy hour though. We always go to the dublin house on 79/broadway. you really can't bring anything in with you, but not too sure what you need to bring in. Can't bring bottles, etc.
If you show up at 8 or even 8:15 you are fine.

Hi Jim.
Welcome to the forum. If you haven't been to the Beacon in many years, it's not the free for all that it used to be. They will pat you down, some more than others. If you are going to risk toking, I would suggest bringing something you can toss if need be. Orchestra is easier than loge or balcony. Be discreet, wait until a few songs in before your first attempt. If caught and warned, don'try again as they will throw your azz out. Enjoy the show!

People regularly get busted outside the Beacon, so don't be foolish. When inside, be very discrete, like Mule 75 said.
