Isn't F the front row in the upper balcony?
And you're on an aisle. Sounds good to me.

They are the first two seats in the first row on the aisle off the center section of the upper balcony. Your view will be just about straight ahead and sound is good over there. You should be able to see pretty well and the only real annoyance is that you will be right next to the tunnel and people will constantly be walking/talking in front of you while they go from the bathroom or bar to their seats, and that is also where some people like to congregate and dance. Just sit back and enjoy the show though!

unless you get a dancer in front of you, and don't want to be a dick by blocking the people behind you.

We had the same seats on sat, except row L, and I too have been all over the Beacon (25 shows), I must say dead center upper balc sounded awesome! Way better that expected. The one thing I don't understand is the standing/sitting dilemma. The Beacon is ON Broadway, but it's NOT Broadway. Why can't the standard practice be to stand, and if you are tired, then just sit down. Depends on the band too, WSP at the Beacon, your not gonna find someone sitting, unless they are passed out.

I am sad that this could or will be the last of any foreseeable ABB Beacon runs, but if for some reason it isn't, someone needs to take a stand (pun intended) on this issue.

Ps, I am not trying to offend the sitting fans

Get up and boogie. Take the heat and keep on groovin'. You won't get this opportunity again.

Sorry but the $150 comment is ludicrous!!!
Let me tell y ou a little story... It was 2001 and it was the first time i didn't get seats in teh Orchestra. My buddy and i had to settle for the Loge and we weren't happy about it. Our seats were good and we were having a great time. We were up and dancing... The sticks in the mud behind us kept telling us that we should have been in the orchestra and that we were blocking their view... ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? This is the Allman Brothers, not james taylor!!!! The Brothers make you want to get up and move... Well my friend and I didn't make a scene, but we said that we paid good money for our tickets and we choose to stand. They kept saying that we had to go to the orchestra to which we eplained that we would love to, but we were unable to get tickets there... Long story short we had a beer dumped on us and had security called ON US!!!! Which was great, the security walked us down to row A... 4th row center!!!
Moral of the story is simple... If you don't want to stand don't... But don't bust the balls of others that choose to get up and dance!

While I abide by the unwritten rules of seating at the Beacon I have to agree with this post. The Beacon is the only place where there is any sitting whatsoever at an ABB show. Somebody who is going for the first time is probably expecting to stand regardless of what section they are sitting in. Or somebody who once had the orchestra and partied and got balcony or loge second time around might not expect the seated atmosphere. Yes, the polite thing to do is sit down if everyone in the section is sitting down, and yes that is what most people would do. However I dont think anybody has the right to tell somebody they can't stand up if they want to. That is their choice, as it is your choice to sit down.
Like I said I abide by the rules, this year I am sitting in the lower balcony because I personally prefer it, if somebody stood up in front of me, I wouldn't make a stink, I’d stand up as well. It is afterall an Allman Brothers show, I am not opposed if people want to give it some life.
Think of it the other way around, somebody spent $150 for their seat thinking they are going to have a good time, dance, stand, cheer.. and they get to their seat and everyone is telling them to sit down, by your logic, they should also be reimbursed the $150 for not being able to enjoy the show the way they were originally planning to.
All I am saying it’s a rock and roll concert, if people want to stand regardless of their seat placement I would not be shocked, upset or insulted by it.

Politness, empathy, caring for the well-being and comfort of others…that's how I bring up my son…those who say "screw the people behind you" are a part of a much larger problem than standing/sitting at rock and roll concert…

With all due respect, it becomes a situation where the only way to see anything is to stand. Some of us are....only way to put it....old (or middle aged, on a good day). Must we stand the whole time to see anything because of those standing in front of us? Please don't be agist and say we shouldn't go to shows anymore...

Hey I agree, my post was more or less playing devil's advocate. Like I said I abide by the rules. I buy lower balcony or loge seats with the full expectation of being seated the entire night. I do this not for myself but more so for my father in law who prefers to sit. I think everyone who wants to go to a show should go to a show, young, old, middle aged, elderly, if you pay money to get in you want to be there and you should be there.
Have that being said I don’t think there is a real solution. I do feel that the Beacon has a good system in place and in most instances it works, I’ve been to 8 Beacon shows and people for the most part are respectful. I think the system works solely because it’s the Allman’s and it’s a long standing tradition that has kind of established its own “rules.” Let’s say you go see Mule at the Beacon, or go to a Rolling Stone or Springsteen show. I give these bands because they are same generation or fan base of the ABB. Do you somehow get younger? You have to go to those shows with the full expectation that you will be standing the entire night, and if you elect to sit you will likely have obstructions in front of you. In that instance do you still feel you have the right to tell people to sit down when you are now in the minority? Or even a better example an ABB summer show, I have yet to go to one where anybody is seated (and I have been to many). Whether it be a shed show or a smaller venue. Would you feel you still had the right to tell people to sit down? I honestly don’t think you can, nor get mad when they tell you ‘no I will not.’ They spent their hard earned money to get in, just as you have, whose to say who is right and who is wrong, or what defense is justifiable?
Going to a show is a gamble, especially a rock show, if you have the intention of going to sit down or being pissed off when the person in front of you is standing and having a blast then yes I feel you probably should not go, it will probably be a waste of money. However I agree at a ABB BEACON show, those sitting in the loge or balcony should be seated out of respect, whether they don’t want to or refuse I think the argument can be made for both sides… not everyone knows the rules, not everyone has been to a beacon show or been in those particular sections, not everyone is a member of this forum to have it spelled out for them. Some people are probably going with the expectation its just another rock show why on God’s green earth would I sit?

jbpats, I hear you loud and clear, brother. I stand for much of the show, sit for parts, not expecting to see while I do so. I usually end up in the balcony because of price range limitations, and I like it there. good sound. good vibes

I didn't mean to start a debate with my original post.

My wife can't stand for extended periods so being in the first row of the upper balc should work out well. And I like being on the aisle. I assume being close to the tunnel = being close to a bar so I'm happy !!!

I disagree with this 100%
When I stand up at a concert I am in no way saying, or thinking for that matter, "Screw the people behind me!" Quite the contrary, I am thinking nothing, I am listening to the music and allowing my mind to be free from the prison that day to day life has it locked in. I stand and dance because of the music, not because I want to make a scene and be the center of attention (I am not that attractive, nor am I a good dancer) I am up and dancing because in that moment I feel free and alive and I allow myself to feel that. So I stand, I dance, and I have a blast. (I feel like Kevin Bacon in Footloose right now)
For you to say that I am dancing and thinking screw everyone else is a ludicrous statement. Sadly, however, the fact remains that I will dance. If you want to switch seats with me fine, but i will dance. If I wanted to sit through a whole concert i'd buy the Blue Ray and pump it through my surround sound. I go to concerts to get lost in the moment and that means dancing.

hahaha things sometimes have a tendency to get side tracked around here.
To answer your question, your seats are fine, people will most likely be sitting in front of you, walk way traffic might be an issue like somebody said but will die down once the show gets kickin'
