Leslie is at the Iridium tonight for one early show with Poppa Chubby. Wonder if he will go uptown and play with the ABB?

Given that he does live in the area I would expect Leslie on another night rather than when he has a gig and must attend to I a lot of things. I would love to see him!! Hoping the Beacon stage can accommodate his wheelchair.

Loved seeing Leslie sit in with Peter Frampton, last year...

Hubert Sumlin played with the ABB once or twice while he was in a wheelchair. It's not an obstacle if he gets an invitation and wants to play.

I'm just glad to hear that Leslie is healthy enough to be gigging again. I went to one of those touring rock Festivals two years ago, it was supposed to be Leslie West, Kim Simmonds, Rick Derringer, Johnny Winter and Edgar Winter. Leslie cancelled due to illness. In case you're wondering, Johnny and Edgar did NOT play together. Johnny to be honest sounded like age at long last was catching up with him just a bit. He'll always be a legend to me, though. Simmonds, Derringer and Edgar Winter were all very good.

I certainly hope not. Based on the early set lists it wouldn't be an improvement.

Have been a fan of Leslie for more years than I care to admit.
I've read about his health issues and am glad to see him back.

Referencing the start of this post and the mention of Poppa Chubby, it made me laugh to myself. Do you all know from where that name "came"?
