I heard Butch can't play tonight and Duane Trucks will be playing drums. We'll see in a few minutes...

Looks like it's true. I hope he's alright. "OK, the Trucks Brothers Band!"

Set One
Don't Want You No More*>
It's Not My Cross to Bear*
Done Somebody Wrong*
End of the Line@
Who's Been Talkin'@
True Gravity@
Every Hungry Woman*
Please Call Home+ w/Juke horns
Stand Back* w/Juke horns
The Same Thing@ w/Juke horns

Set Two
No One to Run With@
Good Morning Little Schoolgirl^
Come On in My Kitchen*
That's What Love Will Make You Do* w/Juke horns
The Weight* w/Juke horns
Les Brers in A Minor#
encore: One Way Out#

*Jaimoe and Duane Trucks on drums, Marc Quinones on percussion
@Jaimoe and Marc on drums, Bobby Allende on percussion
+Just Marc on drums
^Jaimoe and Marc on drums
#Jaimoe and Duane on drums, Marc and Bobby on percussion

Warren said Butch is under the weather. Duane's style seems a little more like Jaimoe's than Butch's, so his songs really swing. Oteil seems to like playing with him. Stand Back in particular was great. That was the best Every Hungry Woman ever. Epic performance so far from Oteil. Stand Back and Same Thing were also huge. They did Same Thing with the slow intro. This has been a quiet second set for Gregg, but I am digging this Latin take on Les Brers- Santana would approve!

Sounds like an awesome show - I like the slow intro to Same Thing. Sultry and dirty

Hope Butch is better real soon

Please Call Home has not been played very often the last few years. Glad to see it in the setlist.

Security was indeed in the house, but plenty of people managed to get a burn going. Security should concentrate on getting the gabbing people to pipe down.

Duane Trucks played real nice. I forgot what song it was that he was on when after the song Oteil raised both hands and pointed fingers at all the percussionists as to say you guys shined on this song.

I really liked this show. Bluesy jamin' night. Warren and Derek were spot on all night...what a pair!
No Midnight Rider, Revival, Sweet Melissa, and Soulshine which I was glad not to hear.

The Weight was fun and got the gals up and dancing. The gals should be the only ones allowed to dance. The guys should sit down and lets watch the gals shake it.

I wished I'd get Whipping Post for encore and the night would've been perfect.

I sat far left in the Loge and it was respectfully chatter-free.

I'll be back next Tuesday.

One negative: The freakin' break felt like over a half an hour or longer?

That Marc Quinones is ruining everything!!

First he is the band member who blocks all the archival releases and now he causes Butch to miss his first show. I bet he even pushed the send button on the fax machine in 2000.

Pure evil that guy.

On 3/8, they took almost 50 minutes...what was up with that?

Having listened to the recording from 3/8, it sounds really clear that something is up with the drumming during Jessica (especially near the end). Southbound rocks along fine, but I was listening to Warren's solo during Jessica thinking that someone isn't well.

All the best to Butch I hope he heals up quick!!!!
