Here is who we saw - small place - about 14 tables and a bar....

J R Clark and Willie Styles have joined forces with Legendary Bass Player and Alligator Records recording artist- Johnny B. Gayden from "Albert Collins and the Ice Breakers" and Jerry "Bam Bam" Porter-drummer who toured with Buddy Guy for 14 years, toured with Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Ronnie Baker Brooks, and currently fresh off tour with The James Cotton Band to put out a big sound of house rockin blues, soul and southern rock!

Willie Styles is a blind keyboard player....... what a rhythm section Johnny and Jerry were....... they jammed on while J.R. hit the bathroom - it was awesome.....

...and the chocolate porter was very tasty....... $5 cover and $5 pints of beer on tap - can't beat it!

Sleeping in NYC train station is not fun. You basically need to sleep with one eye open.

Back when I was a bartender in the Chicago Loop, we'd go hit another bar after we closed ours. One night one of my compatriots got particularly full of Rumple Minze. He lived up north off the Red Line. He got on the train, passed out, woke up at the end of the line up north at Howard. Switched over, passed out again and woke up at the south end of the line at 95th/Dan Ryan. Swtched over again, passed out again, but did wake up in time to catch his stop...only to discover that someone had very, very carefully cut his pants into his pocket and stole the $300 in cash he had made that night.

I always used to put my money in my shoes, micelf.

Speaking of Chicago, I'm headed there tomorrow. Father-in-law's 70's birthday extravaganza.

My liver already hurts.
