'Working Man' on a Walmart commercial. Tastefully done I must admit, but still.

I appreciate an artist being able to do what they wish with their songs, just hard to accept for some bands I guess.

For all I know this isn't a first for Rush?

I don't think WalMart has had anything that was made in America in their stores for about 15-20 years.

I saw that commercial last night and immediately said "WTF Now there's a real case of ZERO truth in advertising" There's never been an American retailer that has screwed their US suppliers like the Walton family. Sam Walton became a billionaire shouting buy "American Made" in his Walmart Stores & Sam's clubs and then they completely sold out to every idiotic trade agreement that our treasonous elected congressmen could force down the people of America's throats.( does a pair of jeans or a pair of tennis shoes cost you less now than the did in the early '90's as we were promised?) Millions and millions of jobs lost for nothing more than pure GREED. Legal greed, but greed just the same. I don't enter the door of a Walmart unless I just can't get it elsewhere, and unfortunately lately that's becoming more and more common! I'll get off the soapbox now!

"Fly By Night" was recently used in a VW commercial.

I'm not defending Wallmart Willie, but clothes do cost less than they did 20 years ago. You can go spend $100-$200 on designer jeans, but I can buy quality jeans for my kids at Target that are regularly on sale for $7.99. That wasn't possible in the 1990s.

A $150 blazer from JosABanks still costs $150 twenty years later. I buy black work shoes for $90 that cost just as much or more twenty years ago.

Corporations with no social concsience make feel good ads to blow smoke up the general populace arse. Just own up to the fact all you care about is raking in the dough. Same goes with ads from Exxon mobil or BP. more feel good bs.

Really? As I said, haven't been in one for 15-20 years. And to be honest, the way they treat their suppliers I wouldn't eat anything that came out of there.

My apologies for ranting here. But when I saw that commercial with Walmart claiming they're gonna spend 10million to create jobs here, I nearly blew a gasket. Shoulda took it to the whipping post!

Why, oh why do our favorite bands sell their music for commercials?

After much thought and research, I think I figured out why:
