This will be my first (and unfortunately last) Beacon run.

I have tickets in the 6th row Orchestra tix for a Fri-Sat run.

Do people usually sit or stand in these rows? Caught them in Chicago Theatre last summer and most people were sitting throughout the venue except the first few rows in the front were standing And some rows in the balcony were standing. Wondering how it usually goes at the Beacon Theatre.

Thanks for your insight.

Orch 6th row would be row B. Want to make sure your expectation is properly set. If you are in row F you will be in row 10. First four rows are AA, BB, CC, DD. You should expect to be standing most if not all of the time. If sitting occurs, my observation has been that the Center Orch section will start to sit before Orch 1 and 2 sections which are just to the left and right of center. Not sure if anyone else found this to be the case. You have great seats. Enjoy.

You will be standing pretty much everywhere in the Orchestra. I usually will take a break and sit down every once and a while....but the basic rule is standing in Orchestra......sitting everywhere else.

Agree with others - you will be standing in those seats.

So...I'm to be sitting for both my shows?

Mar 18th, I have ubalc2 row J
Mar 19th I have ubalc6 row m

Is there room at the back of these sections to dance?

First time Beacon attendee, so any info about these seats will be appreciated. I've seen the map, so I know where they are, roughly.

The ABB crashed at my aunt Anne Watkins' house in 1969 when they first hit New York and had no money. I took her to the Beacon to see the band a few years ago when she was 82. As we entered the theater she told me the last time she saw "the boys play" she was sitting on the stage at the Fillmore East.
The band offered her seats on the stage, but she said she preferred to sit with the fans. We were in the orchestra section and standing with everyone else. Towards the end of the first set, I told her that she didn't have to stand, that some of the folks behind us were sitting. She replied, "They must be old!"

Last year on 3/15 we were in the top back left corner as you face the stage and we could dance and carry on as we wished. We actually had other seats but gravitated toward that corner since there appeared to be a few extra seats and everyone was cool.

Thanks for the well informed replies!! This is GREAT NEWS RE: standing in the orchestra. I was bummed being one of the few standing in the balcony at the Chicago Theatre last summer, people behind me were standing too so no harm no foul. If I'm going to fly all the way from Los Angeles, I want to ROCK.
