I like it just don't love it.

I like the fact the family religious guy is the troubled soul and the guy you thought doesn't have it together does.

I agree its slow but last weeks ending was nuts.

Not the best travelougue for Louisiana. People and place scares me.

Slow moving show with some crazy stuff going on, I think the pace will pick up as the show goes along.

After tonights episode I'll be two behind. I'm watching the second season of "House of Cards" on Netflix so I'll probably catch up with "True Detective" next week or the week after.

It is crazy living in a time with so many entertainment options. Between interesting television, Iowa Hawk Eye basketball, concerts, reading, etcetera... I find it really hard to keep up. My DVR is near capacity.

Its slow moving but I'm sticking with it.

I can't watch multiple episodes of 'House of Cards' and feel that my soul is intact. I'm spacing those out.

I for one am really enjoying it.

McConaughey's character is awesome.

I'm going to get it over with then take the train to DC, find a bench on the mall and just stare at Congress. Then I think I'll go looking for Underwood's rib place and eat myself into oblivion. I'll let out a big greasy belch and turn the page.

After watching the corruption in House of Cards I'll be ready for the light hearted ritualistic killing in "True Detective".

I see True Detectives growing into a good show, but it is developing to too slow for me. The writers only reveal a few new details each episode and they spend too much time on irrelevant details. For example, the writers spent too much time on the conflict between the two detectives and very little on the case they were working on...How can you be a true detective if you can't work with your own partner...

Last nights episode was a gooder. Twists and turns are starting.

Took them 4-5 episodes to get things rolling but last night was a lot less fluff then previous episodes.

I agree that it started out slow moving but the last couple weeks have been riveting. It will be interesting to see Cohle's involvement with the Yellow King and where it ends.

I've become a big fan of his in the last few weeks between this role and Dallas Buyers Club.

By far the best episode yet. I think the reason was that we finally know what's going on in the present. Half a mini-series with backstory only is an awful long time.

Thanks for the links. The more I learn about the references in the show the more interesting it is. I ordered The King In Yellow Book (only $6.47 on Amazon) .. http://www.amazon.com/dp/1492785989/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pe_309540_267254 10_item

There is a play... a play that some say does not exists, a play that brings madness and dispair to all who read it, the play of the King in Yellow...

Here's the preview for week 6 ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSZ3dOCH5Vg

Here's the clip from episode with the Lucinda Williams song .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1-FIkX5PgE
