Near the top of my list of my favorite current bands. Great songs, amazing vocals, and top notch musicians. They've got the whole package. ENJOY!

I LOVE these guys! I only discovered them for myself last year, but I caught up quickly.

Have not seen them live, but all of their albums are getting HEAVY rotation in my house. I'm a little infatuated with these guys right now.

Would love to hear a quick review of this if you get a moment. Would've been there myself were it not for a conflict I couldn't get out of.

The Wood Brothers put on another great show at Irving Plaza on Thursday. Biggest crowd I've seen for these guys. Played a good mix of all of their studio albums, including a good dose of their newest record The Muse, as well as reworking a lot of old favorites from their previous 3 records. Their 3 part harmonies are just unreal. I wasn't wild about the idea of them adding a drummer, but Jano Rix is just such a talent. He just fits so perfectly with the Woods and his 3rd part vocal really sets the whole thing off.
Go see them if you have a chance. And buy their records. They have been consistently strong, both musically and lyrically, since the very beginning.

Checking them out now on iTunes. Any suggestions for an album or two to start with? Thinking about one of the live albums. They have quite a few choices though. Live at bonaroo got really good reviews but then again the reviews on all their albums look favorable.

I would start with their first studio record, Ways Not to Lose. From there, Loaded, Smoke Ring Halo, and The Muse are all really solid records. You can't go wrong.

What got me hooked was "Smoke Ring Halo." Enjoy!
