The last Beacon run.

Respectfully request that the ABB play songs primarily from all their own albums through all eras.

So much great material, the popular and the deep cuts.....play them all...or most of them, please.

This is great music and I truly hope the last beacon run is exclusively focused on the music of the Brothers.

Seconded 100%

Please don't go out playing "Into The Mystic."

Gregg couldn't remember the songs from HTN when it came out and he had just recorded that. No way that they are playing songs that haven't been played in 30+ years from all those mid albums.

I would settle for some of the songs from 89 forward.

I'd love to be in the house if Gregg ever played, note-for-note, just on one occasion for long-time fans, with plenty of volume on that B-3 -- his Jelly Jelly solo

same thing with his Pegasus solo too -- we never hear any of this stuff
I love the ABB

Would love some tracks from Seven Turns or Shades of two worlds. Those were the two albums that made me fall in love with the band.

I know they bust out a few every now and then like Gamblers Role and End of the line but would love a little Get on with your life and especially Good Clean Fun.

I think that would require a guest apperance from Mike Lawler.

I do not even own those two. I had Hell & High Water: Best of Arista Years in the mid 90's. Thats all I needed to hear and got rid of it. I friend of mine liked some of the tracks, I think Mystery Woman was one of them. I gave it to him free of charge.

I would love to see them expand the playlist and resurrect a lot of older stuff that is good but neglected but lets remember there were quite a few clunkers during the dark days and I dont think anoyone wants to hear that stuff

At best we'll probably get one recently-unheard old ABB gem, and maybe one new cover. Remember, these guys are now short-timers!

Seconded with Sailin' Cross the Devil's Sea. I'd even like to hear Nobody Knows and Seven Turns.

EVEN? Particularly I would like to hear Nobody Knows. They were doing Good Clean Fun for quite a while around 5 years ago and Sailin' was brought back last year and played regularly.

I hear what you are saying Effie, but I have to agree with jonbrach....

"lets remember there were quite a few clunkers during the dark days and I dont think anyone wants to hear that stuff"

I love the Allman Brothers Band, but I think any objective fan has to admit their catalog is inconsistent. Sorry jkf2112, I would rather hear Into The Mystic than Louisiana Lou and Three Card Monty John all day, everyday.

It would be nice if they busted out Nobody Knows, True Gravity and some other deep cuts, but let's not get TOO carried away

Win lose or Draw would be an amazing song to hear from the same named album, but agreed Louisiana Lou is a terrible song.

I'd like to see the ABB go out REALLY in a blaze of glory:

CHANGE IT UP and ROCK IT OUT!!

Open with something besides Statesboro
Even better, open with a tune you haven't opened with before!

Turn Midnight Rider into an extended jam

Make song into a duet that isn't usually a duet - maybe a chick singer, maybe
trade verses with Warren

Run a mellow tune, like Melissa, into another one as an unexpected medley

Put in a couple of acoustic sets - and don't do the usual songs!

Bring back that nice deep Hammond organ flare and finish for something like Dreams or another tune, where the band drops out and lets Gregg hammer down for the final ending. Never can hear enough of that B3.

Do something acapella. Not just amazing grace.

Challenge Derek and Warren to add some new harmony lines, make 'em play different breaks in the song than usual.

Funky up the songs ya haven't changed in awhile.

Put the NOLA funk orsome slow soul sound back into a tune.

Lots of options

Allmans can play anything they want at the Beacon - they don't owe anybody anything.

Of course there are clunkers in the catalogue...I never suggested playing EVERY song in the catalogue but there are more than enough great Allman tunes to fill many nights at the Beacon....

For those who enjoy covers and guests, that's fine...we all have our tastes...simply expressing my preference!

"Turn Midnight Rider into an extended jam"

They actually did this a couple of years ago, and it was great! It really gave Derek a chance to shine.

The 3/19/10 version from the United Palace clocks in at 8:17, with some beautiful Eastern-ish leads by Derek.

It's a shame they didn't do that more often, it seems this was more rare than I thought. I was at the United Palace show, so it stuck in my mind, but I can't seem to find another version longer than 4 minutes from the past few years. Anybody else remember a long version like 3/19/10?

Ramblin Man(ha!)
Come and go blues
Jelly jelly
Pony boy
Outskirts of town

Come on in my kitchen
Kind of bird
Nobody knows
End of the line
Good clean fun
Low down dirty mean
Seven turns
Gamblers roll
True gravity
Can't take it with you
Pegasus
Angeline

Hey! For the record I did not suggest Lousiana Lou.

I'm a Nobody Knows guy for sure. I already listened to the streaming Play All Night version twice. I'm all in for Can't Take It With You, Jelly Jelly, Win, Lose, Or Draw, True Gravity, Pegasus, Bad Rain, Temptation Is A Gun, What's Done Is Done, All Night Train, Desdemona (which they seem to be neglecting recently), and if they could keep Sailin' 'cross The Devil's Sea that would be great. Throw in Gambler's Roll, Good Clean Fun, Low Down Dirty Mean and a down home Come On In My Kitchen I'd never have to hear Into The Mystic again. Leave that song to Van the Man. if Warren wants to sing a song, he can sing Back Where It all Begins and whip out that amazing solo he played on that one.

This year will be my 7th Beacon year with one show per year. I have only heard WP once there!
So I am not picky but would like to hear Jessica and WP.

Given the rate at which the band has delved deeply into her catalog in the last few years, I don't expect more than maybe a couple of "surprises" for this run. I don't see them spending the rehearsal time necessary to resurrect much new material.

Outside of the Beacon, they pretty much keep to the standards to meet the expectations of the casual fans.

Maybe ask Alan Paul to have his band break out the old stuff at the HTN party

At the very least play the real sweet material that could be done. They haven't done High Falls since 2001. They could definitely bust that out. Or something like Shine It On. Hell they haven't played that since the Seven Turns tour!! I don't really expect to hear Seven Turns itself, or Back Where it All Begins, but at least some of the stuff Gregg used to sing would be cool.
