I see Clapton is free for most dates,
But being probably last beacon run...the door is wide open to a " Who's Who" of line up!!!

I know some people like the shows without guests. I used to be one of them. I do enjoy when they have 1 or 2 guests sit in for a show now. Clapton would be cool, I liked last years version of the Same Thing with John Popper and the Juke Horns. Didn't realize how good it was until I listened to it on the instant live a week later. I dig the horn section, hope they have them for the shows I see this year.

If you want to get strictly fantasy my wish list would be Clapton sitting in dueling with Derek and Warren along with a great horn section led by Boyd Tinsley on the fiddle and Bruce Hornsby (or Billy Joel) playing piano while Gregg plays his Hammond.

I have been going for about 20 years now including one of the Clapton shows, and my two fav guests have been John Scofield and Peter Frampton. I would love to see either of these two again.

I also really liked Popper's joining on Same Thing from last year and also like the Jukes Horns. I have to say that the Original Jukes Horns from Southside's older band and still the horn section for Conan O'Brien were a more talented bunch than today's Jukes Horns and I am less enthused for them since the change (I blame Conan for taking them out West).

So - bring in Scofield and Frampton for me please!!!

I can see both sides of the coin.. Alone and you get them all to yourself, but with a guest or two puts a little extra electricity into the room.
I had the pleasure of the jukes last year and it defiantly adds a flavor. Saw them at Saratoga few months later and got to enjoy them alone and with Steve Windwood. So for me, I'll take the ABB any way they would like to give me..but hey..that's just me..
See everyone on the 14th/15th & 29th....

With this being potentially the last beacon run and from Gregs statements that the Allmans are done with the departure Warren & Derek......

The 29th show....Warren walks to the (mike) and says "Please welcome to the stage, Dicky Betts"

You'll have to be a very special guest to get invited on the 29th i think,
and the set list will be given much thought.

Of course everyone would love to see Clapton and I am certainaly one of them.
Definatly I think the juke horns are a great guest and hope they are there for one of the shows I am going to see.
Any way I get to see the brothers this year will be memorable with it possibly being the end.

I saw both ABB shows with Clapton and I have no interest in seeing Clapton.
I would love to see Bob Margolis again w/ ABB. I am PSYCHED about Col. Bruce Hampton singing w/ ABB on 3/29!

As much as I would love to see Clapton during the last Beacon run, this is an ABB celebration. I think the best guest list would be only current and past members of the band. That would include of course, Dickey (although i can't see it happening), Chuck Leavell, etc.
Just my opinion.

If I am only attending one show?.....Definitely.

If I'm lucky enough to catch say, 2 or 3 shows during a "run".....agreed.

"Wish List"?

1) Sonny Landreth on "Done Somebody wrong"
2) Chris Thile - Mandolin on "Win, lose or Draw"
3) John Hiatt w/Gregg... "Memphis in the meantime"

I'd love for Clapton to show up. Other than him, I'd be down for some Juke Horn action. Chuck would be cool. I'd probably be as excited to see Jack up there as I would Clapton, but it's probably less likely.

Scofield is playing in NYC 3/18. I would love to find out when (if) he will join the ABB as he adds to the party big time!
