…I was wondering what seats would be better for site/sound…

I have a single in ORCH 1 row M seat 7 (my concern is the overhang muffling the sound and site lines - standing doesn't bother me, but I'm not very tall)

or

Lower BALC row E seat 103 or Lower BALC 3 row B seat 33

I've read that Lower Balc is great if row A…is back of last row of Lower Balc (row E) still good…

Thanks for any advice...

my preference is the lower balcony even row E especially dead center 103. i have e 105 & 106 for a show.

your m 7 orch seat is an excellent one. the worst place to be is behind the SBD. you are not far enough back that you will experience ANY muffling of sound and your sightlines (since you are 4 seats off the center aisle and angled) will be excellent.

even b 33 is fine. it is to the side but you are on Dereks side which is my preference.

listen, with the advent of scalpers flooding the site by 09, increasing the number of members from the 5000-10000 range to 60,000 + the days of getting row A balcony seats for ABB are long gone.

I used to get row A lower balcony center aisle pairs in 06 and 07 for $60 (08 shows were canceled)--then the garden took over prices spiked and you could never see a row A seat even if you were first in. those are now peeled off for scalpers.

be happy with what you have. id say youd have a better spot in M7. if you dont mind standing the whole show. the loge overhangs row O and balcony row M--no way this will impact your sound. If you were back in U-Z I'd say otherwise. But with your angled view so close to the center youll be golden.

hope this helps,
enjoy the show!
peace,
ray

Thanks so much, Ray…so you think I should stick with the ORCH M seat 7…I was thinking same thing, just worried about being under overhang…since it's not, I think that's my best bet…much appreciated!!!

all are good seats, i have sat in every section at this point and lower balcony by far has been my favorite, best view and sound in my opinion.
Your M seat is excellent as well and like Ray said the overhang would not be a issue.

Its just your preference, if you want to stand and rock out go with the Orch, if you want to sit and take it all in the LB is for you. I think that should be your deciding factor, the sound will be similar throughout.

First time finally seeing ABB at the Beacon. Seen some center orchestra concerns and am curious on the following.

I have 2 sets of tickets for the 25th. Which one would you take?

ORCH Cent - Row W 108-109

or

ORCH4 - Row Q 46 48

Thanks much!

personally i would take the row q even though it is on the side. When you get deep under the overhang in the back of orch the sound gets pretty muffled

Here are 2 Beacon seating charts. One is the Beacon's chart, the other has numbers for every seat. Usually when I'm hunting seats I keep these open to see where the seats are located. This year, if they offered, I bought. The Q seats are on the aisle. The sound will still be excellent and if you're into dancing you'll have a little elbow room. W is deep in sound muffling territory and you will be behind the sound board.

I actually prefer the sound in the orchestra (even in the back) but the view isn't that great when everyone is standing.

A couple of points. The drip line from the balcony overhead is about row M in Orch I believe. Not that you should expect things to be falling but just to be aware. Second point - I buy tickets for large group of friends coming in from around country. Last year we had seats in first row balcony and 14 rows back in orch. This year everyone voted to be on floor so they can stand and move/dance around. At 58 I still like to stand the whole time.
