The ABB says they are adding four shows on the 25th, 26th, 28th and 29th, matching the dates that were posted to Oteil's site earlier. Pre-sale starts Wednesday.

[[Original post:]]

According to Jambands the ABB is adding a final Beacon show on Tuesday March 25. They're describing it as a 45th anniversary show. No word on when those tickets will go on sale.

Originally, Oteil had another 4-5 shows listed on his website but they are now gone. I don't think they would have had any problem selling those. I guess this one show is what it is!

Glad I just got a ticket to 3/19 yesterday. 1 show? And on a Tuesday? Whatever.

"The performance will be the last of the run, which is now set to consist of 11 shows."

Nice to find out from Jambands that this will apparently be the last show of this Beacon Run..... Nothing like finding out from management/administrators. what a giant slap in the face

I like that it is a Tuesday. It takes a little sacrifice.

I might be able to pull this off.

How does jambands.com know that this is the last show of the run? (Note that the statement says that the run is "now" set to consist of 11 shows. They should have said "At this point...")

Because the band management told them so.

You sound like you know what you are talking about. I'll take your word for it.

But if you are wrong, what do I get?

It's hard to think they'd get the word from anywhere else. Someone had to tell them the last show was "the 45th anniversary show," which it kinda isn't.

Maybe. Or maybe if management doesn't make an official announcement, they can add more shows and not be accused of lying to the fan base. The original advertisement in Ticketmaster/Beacon emails was for "10 Nights Only". Now another has been added.
Oteil's site previously had 4 more shows listed. Someone who posted last week after the GA Tribute show said they talked to Butch who told them "5 more shows" would be added. The band and the Beacon has a clean schedule that last week. Derek is playing in New Jersey on April 3rd. March 26th has always been mentioned as the actual "birthday" of the band, not March 25th.

It may not happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't add at least 4 more shows.

The only way I could see it ending on the 25th is if they play past midnight.
Then, it would be the 26th!

I suspect and hope the POG will be clear as to what the added show is.
If it's an anniversary show, they should tell us that in the POG.

Nobody likes guessing about this stuff. Especially when you're gambling with $177.00 (incl. TM fee) for a good seat.

Wasn't the last time they added five more shows they cancelled them due a "family illness" or something?
Was that the Palace Thr. run?

Maybe they're cautiously adding one show at a time?

I think the shows at The Palace were cancelled when Gregg was in need of a new liver.

They were cancelled because of poor ticket sales.
Gregg didn't get a liver transplant until a few months later.

The official reason given was “an unforeseen family matter.”

The single show sale has not been consistent with how they've done things in the past.

They added one show last year, the Sunday show. Here is the thread where I first mentioned it last year.

Hello, new member , seen the Allmans about 8 times including backstage at Bonnaroo 05, what an experience. It looks like I'll be in NYC for the Beacon Run, I've never been able to catch a show there. Do people think they will add more than the 25th? I dropped the ball for the on sale last Friday.
