Tracklist:

'Road Fever'
'Take Me To The River'
'My Babe'
'Drivin' Wheel'
'Stone Blue'
'Rollin' and Tumblin' / You Need Love'
'Terraplane Blues'
'Fool For The City'
'I Just Want To Make Love To You'
'Slow Ride'

Live show from 2011 at Janus Landing in St. Petersburg Fl.
Audio is superb.
The video could be better. I think this was a originally a webcast show & looks like they used that video (is slightly choppy - reduced frame rate?).
Overall a good show & well worth owning if you like the current version of Foghat.

Interesting. Who is in Foghat these days? I've heard good things - they just don't look like the band that I knew in the 70's-80's.

They did a free beach show in Santa Cruz last summer and I went. I tell you, they can still bring it. As you would expect for this band, very blues based, hard drivin' rock and roll. The only original member though is drummer Roger Earl. Besides him, bass and two guitars. I don't know any names, but both of the guitarists were very good............one played mostly slide, the other mostly rhythm and sang everything. The rhythm guitarist/ singer did serious time in Humble Pie some years back. All of them sounded like seasoned pros. I went out of curiosity, they were good, but I'm not going to run out and buy the DVD.

From the 70s - drummer Roger Earl & bassist Craig McGregor
Vocalist / guitarist Charlie Huhn & lead guitarist Bryan Basset have been with the band at least a dozen years.
Charlie previously did some albums with Ted Nugent & Gary Moore in the 70s & 80s.
Bryan was in Molly Hatchet in the 90s & is very accomplished on that slyde guitar.

I thought a guy named Tony Stevens played bass (70's).

Tony is the original bassist but he was replaced by Craig in the mid 70s.
Tony played again with the band from 93 - 05.

"They".....infers the original band "still brings it"...not true. Semantics?...Imho, no.

Foghat by name only. If Ringo Starr hired 3 players, would it be the Beatles?

Say no more.

I don't know man, without Rod "the bottle" Price and "Lonesome" Dave Peverett, they ain't Foghat.

While I am 100% positive that these guys are a good band and that they "bring it" - they really should take a new name. Maybe something like, "Roger Earl's Foghat Revue" or something in that vein.
I remember in the late 70's, a band (attempted to) hit the road billed as "the New Fleetwood Mac" - or something like that. They were quickly shot down in the press as pretenders to the throne.
I'm also sure these guys are just trying to make a living, but using the name when 3/4 of the original members aren't on board ... misleading, if nothing else.

Great band, That original line-up was sweet, When they nailed it, it was on. As far as the latest version, If you want to hear the music and it's played well it's a fun night out reliving the tunes. Emphasis on "If" it's played well. I haven't seen this version of Foghat, but wouldn't be adverse to going, I've heard good things. I saw Blue Oyster Cult and Foghat at MSG on 9/18/81 with no Rod Price. He was newly replaced with Erik Cartright.

Here's some of the early magic. It'd be nice to have a whole show with some of the power numbers.

There's also a DVD from '78 with the Gents from the now defunct Palladium in NYC. It's about an hour long with 1/2 the show being Muddy Waters. Great stuff. Here's a clip...

As I said earlier, saw them last summer and they were good. BUT............would I PAY to see them? No. Because: A. One original member. B. Ramped up blues rock that I've heard about 1,000 club bands do.

As far as the name, no one can tell Roger Earl what to do. He's got the right being an original member and if he wants to use it, I say that's his business. And he's delivering a good hard rockin' product, not just cashing in.

I have seen this version twice as openers and they were great. Also very nice guys. We chatted for a while and heard some cool stories of Charlie's time with Nugent and Moore.

I don't think the majority of people even knew that they were not the original guys. They just had fun with the tunes.

I would imagine that the Foghat name is co-owned by Roger & Dave's estate & that Roger's use of the name not only provides a income for himself but Dave's widow as well.

Fair enough. I guess. But if this is the only version of Foghat you ever see ... you simply DID NOT see Foghat.

The same can be said for the ABB. Doesn't mean it was bad.

They gave me their album and to call it great is a stretch. More like OK.
