From Dickey's home page:

"Rumor has it...
Rumor has it that Dickey received a call from Derek Trucks inviting him to sit in with him at the historic Beacon Theater in NYC tomorrow (Saturday) night (coincidentally, Dickey is playing a private event in Long Island tonight). Rumor also has it that Dickey changed his plane ticket to go home on Sunday. Hmmmmm, maybe he will take Derek up on his offer. You never know!"

Could be epic!

Since Col. Bruce is in NY State for a gig I was hoping for him to guest either last night or tonight but this is much better!!
Incidentally, I got in late only catching 1 1/2 songs of T. Snider, but rushing in I thought I saw Eric Krassno's (not sure the spelling) on the marquee as opening. What was that about?

Last song of the encore after Don't Drift Away was Wah Wah by George Harrison.

Eric Krasno Band is opening up the last show of the run, London Souls open tonight. Theyre a great band.

Really didn't care for Todd Snider's Dylan routine.

TTB sounded great as always. Great choices from the new album. Horn section brought the energy as usual. Derek's solo on The Storm was otherworldly. Oteil's absence was definitely felt; just isn't the same with the new guy standing in the back

Did Susan mention something at the very end of the show about having some guests tonight? I couldn't understand what she said (my mind was blown), but I could have sworn she mentioned something like that.

Yes, it was quite the tease. She said "Check us out tomorrow night, we're gonna have a VERY special guest".

Between that comment, and the message on the front of Dickey's site, I'm becoming a believer.

I believe you also left out of the set list
"Mahjoun" which came right after Down In the Flood.
Not sure if any thing else was missed.

Don't Let Me Slide
Made Up Mind
Until You Remember
Roll and Tumble
Do I Look Worried
Midnight in Harlem
Part of Me
Down in the flood
MAHJOUN (Instrumental)
Nobody's Free
Bound for Glory
Angel From Montgomery
Sugaree
The Storm

Encore:
Don't Drift Away
WAH WAH

Great to see a bigger repertoire for the band last night and allowing Derek and Susan more opportunities to spotlight themselves while the other took a break was awesome. By that I mean when Mike took the Mic on Down in the flood and Mahjoun and when Susan did Angel from M. It felt to me last night like Derek was channeling from another place during certain solos. Awesome performance.

I had to laugh overhearing a few bros talking in the mens room sarcastically saying " That was an ok show, maybe if they practice more they'll be tighter next time" lol

I really don't want to add any credence to the Dickey rumors but it was also mentioned to me after the show by someone. I have a feeling the invitation to sit in may have gone out. But there's always the unpredictability of DB. We'll know soon enough.

Nice to see "Until You Remember" on the setlist. Isn't being played that much. Susan's vocals gives me goosebumps every time i listen to it.

I also want to say as a native New Yorker, born and bred, it's really nice to hear this band acknowledge some of our hardships when they play the Beacon here in NY. I remember a while back when Susan mentioned the 9/11 tragedy back when they played that date and then last night she mentioned how "The Storm" was dedicated to that beastly Sandy monster that we all experienced last year.

Just saying, we take note and appreciate the sentiments. Thank you for the love.

Very nice to Hear Don't Drift Away again and Down in the Flood on the setlist. I hadn't realized they were playing that one. If you're coming to tonight's show please look for my family's music therapy charity in the lobby- we'll be there trying to spread the word, and Derek and Susan have been kind enough to donate $1 from every ticket sold to support our cause. If you're not at the show I'm going to try to live-tweet the show from @musicnvrstops.

Plus the picture he uploaded I guess we can be sure that Dickey will sit in.

The most remarkable thing that has happened in the ABB world since the 40th anniversary.

Friends at show said London Souls just finished, and they saw Dickey (presumably milling about around the stage).
