This has been posted here more than once but it's been awhile since I've seen it, at least a year. Just SO beautiful..............a great Sunday mornin' tune. Listening to this just now, and every time I have played it, something really grabs me, kind of shocks me, really: Gregg's prowess and tone on the acoustic guitar. It's obvious that if he decided to concentrate on guitar and left the B-3 organ alone, he could REALLY have taken it places.

Count me amongst those who wish for the complete opposite.....

One of the reasons I love the out of print One More Try anthology is all the Gregg solo performances - just his voice and guitar or voice and piano. Often hauntingly beautiful like on God Rest His Soul. He even plays very well on the solo acoustic "Catfish Blues." I like his rhythmic choices and chord inversions. Plus he's very adept at using open strings, especially when he's playing in G tuning like "Come And Go Blues." he's a terrific acoustic picker.
