Lots of beer, lots of transcendent music over the last few days!

Gregg sounded great, the band was in fine ensemble form, and we had lots of time to visit with our Chicago regulars and so many others we don't get to see as often.

I wish we could do it again next week!

I echo all of this. Had a ball this weekend. Well, it felt like a weekend

Two great concerts, a ton of great people and perhaps several tons of beer...fantastic time!
Echo (echo echo echo...) What Moid and Sandman said! I am taking myself out of computer exile today (back to reality tomorrow *sigh*) and had to stop in and say ... what a great show last Tuesday!!!!! There was a point during Sky is Crying when the hair on my arms stood straight up ... yowza! (Warren for President!) And Gregg is sounding/looking so good ... and Derek - there are no words ... it was great seeing one of my favorite bands once again and in one of my favorite cities. So enjoyed the show at the Chicago Theater (I'm for having extended stay at this venue on a yearly basis ... anyone else ready to sign up for this? )

And the opportunity to hang with some nefarious (but WONDERFUL) characters ... can't get any better than that... Kim and I both had a great time and I'm glad that the ticket God's were watching out for us and placed these Middle Earth sisters in the same row, 3 seats away from our Middle Earth brother, Chad. 'Twas perfect having the opportunity to meet up with Chad, Moid, Sang (& Bro.), Chitown (and the Mrs), BigDave, Pete, SweetRiver (hoping I'm not forgetting anybody here). Lee - you were missed! (although I do think I saw you outside of the theater before show ... just did not totally recognize you without the tie-dye!!! ) Was planning on being able to see everyone at Lefty's gig and when that fell through didn't have a plan B ... guess someone was taking care of that for us.

Kim and I did try to get tix for Wednesday ... hit the box office around noon but no tickets available and tried to grab some that were up for sale here but did not hear back (and fact that the PM did not hit my Outbox indicates failure to communicate ... I don't have a 'smart' phone and was trying to guide my sis in the art of PM's ... unsuccessfully, I guess - LOL). We walked about 15 miles Wednesday and were soooooo tired when we got back to the hotel ... we showered off the city dirt and had the phone out waiting on messages for after-show and both of us passed out sometime before 10 (what party hounds... ) Sorry we missed the opportunity to meet up with you all Wed, also (got the message the next morning, Sang... thanks for trying to contact us! ). Anyway ... getting verbose but wanted to say ... great band, great venue, great show, great company!!! And throw in another echo because same goes for my sister, Kim! We really enjoyed it all but being able to meet up with some of you was icing on the cake. We've got to KEEP meeting like this!

Deb glad to read that your trip to the Windy city was a good one

Got some Black Crowes and Gov't Mule on the speakers as we reorganize the living room, trying to get the TV and stereo all in one area

Hope all are well one way or another.

Big poppa is doin alright these days. He's back to driving but still needs his speech therapy. But it is progressing. They are hoping their house will be built by eoOct of early Nov.

Job hunt is becoming depressing. Had two interviews with 7 people at one of my target companies. They called yesterday to tell me they are having an open house next month and even though I am a good candidate, I don;t meet every single qualification they are looking for. Good enough for one dept, but this isn;t good enough for the other dept. So they want to see if they can find the "perfect" candidate next month. If not, they will settle for sloppy seconds in me. Made me feel real good, but if they call me I'd probably accept at this point. Unemployment runs out beg of Oct. So contract work, here I come. UGH

Wott a bunch of jackasses...

For some reason I am very sore this morning - golf did something to my elbow and wrist, and cutting the grass and pruning some trees hurt my legs - it's hell to get old.............

Good afternoon

Summer is back as it is hot and muggy, but I guess that means I can sweat off a few pounds
