Can't really tell by this photo, but if you watch the 1974 Fleetwood Mac episode of Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, you can really tell.

Bob Welch's fingers are just inhumanly long.

One of the best guitar performances I have ever witnessed was Johnny Winter during Jazz City 1992 , my friends and I were leaning against the stage with a pile of beers in front of us and I remember Johnny's fingers seemed unusually long , man did he rip it up that night .

If you think that's weird, check out Hound Dog Taylor's freakishly long fingers - plus a SIXTH:

Jimi I immediately thought of too - his hands were absolutely MONSTROUS - as were SRV's.

Duane had some really large, and according to Gregg, vise-like strong hands - which is not surprising given how easily he performed multi-fret bends - 2-2.5 steps.

Alex Lifeson has by far and away the biggest hands of anyone I've ever shook hands with.

Following on Bhawk's lead, the largest hands of any human being I've ever met in person were those of surf guitar legend Dick Dale. I met him before a show in Athens once and shook his hand, and I was shocked and amazed at how big his hands were. Nice guy too!

Jimi's hands were pretty amazing. He could wrap his THUMB all the way around a guitar neck. Think about that for a second.

I believe almost all guitar players have big hands. The better players all seem to have especially big hands, with long fingers !!

Well, I'll be watching Steve Howe 's freakish fingers tonight from the 4th row here in Birmingham! I bought tickets right before my house went up for sale, so I drove 450 miles just to see the show!

Longest fingers in the world? Those would be the ones that belong to my Proctologist!

I have to wonder if, since I assume all the great players started playing at young ages, their fingers don't in fact lengthen more than usual because they're being constantly stretched from actually playing much of the time. Like a muscle that is constantly pushed to the limit and responds by growing larger, stronger, etc...Seems plausible, correct?

Freakishly long guitarist fingers? My brother! (He has my Dad's hands - he played clarinet and oboe - and have served brother well all these years as a guitarist).

I met Stanley Clarke once and shook his hand and he had some long fingers.

(and Rusty ... LMAO!!! )

I don't think that the fingers actually get significantly longer. But, I can tell you, from firsthand experience, that the fingers in the fretting hand can spread further apart from years of stretching.
