And I dont know why. Generally I am about a 66- 75 guy regarding oldies. It was oringinaly recorded it 1934 but this version is just so cool......

"Sleepwalk"...great tune. I think it was the first non-country use of pedal steel I'd ever heard. Peter Green has been quoted as saying it was the inspiration for "Albatross".

Brian Setzer Orchestra did a halfway decent version on one of their early albums. Didn't like it all that much when I first heard it, but it's kind of grown on me over the years.

On the note of killer pedal steel songs check this one out. Speedy West could be the greatest pedal steel man ever(subjective), some of the stuff he was doing in the 50's could definitely be considered outside the Country realm. I can't help but think these recordings with Jimmy Bryant were big influences on a young Dickey Betts, Jimmy Herring holds Mr. Bryant in high regard.
