Rod Stewart's rare intimate club show Thursday at the Troubadour in Los Angeles is available to stream now on Vevo and YouTube.

To celebrate the May 7 release of his new studio album, Time, Stewart gave 300 fans a very up-close and personal concert that included six new songs and four Stewart staples (Forever Young, Rhythm of My Heart, You Wear It Well and Have I Told You Lately).

Time marks Stewart's long-awaited return to his songwriting roots and features 11 new songs that he wrote and produced. It is the singer's 28th studio album and he has several TV appearances lined up to promote it. He'll visit Jimmy Kimmel Live on May 6, The Voice on May 8, Good Morning America on May 9, and Live With Kelly & Michael and Katie on May 11. Stewart will also appear on Entertainment Tonight throughout the week and will visit The Howard Stern Show on May 13.

It's nice to hear him get back to Rod and away from the easy listening standards.

Haven't heard the new material; but the cynic in me says he didn't just postpone his tour to "record" but rather sales were poor and he felt he needed something new to draw the fans in (already have tickets as my wife loves Rod) never heard of someone cancelling a tour to record
