Did Highway Call vinyl original release come with a fold out poster, a country river vista water color painting?

I still say that this is Dickey's best non ABB album. I'd love to see Dickey & band do a show with a bunch of cuts from this album. He'd have to pick up a fiddle player & maybe mandolin to fill out the sound, but these songs were just wondefully arranged and played on the album. I saw a concert on the tour he did to support the release - special.

It's a little coincidental that you mentioned this album. I just copied the 92 Unplugged show for someone on Monday, and Hwy Call fit nicely on the disc after it. So I gave it a spin. It's my favorite DB solo effort as well.

I listened to that vinyl this past weekend during the monsoon. I'll have to check and see if the poster is still in the album cover. I think I hung it on my bedroom wall when I was a kid...

There used to be a couple of good recording of Dickey's tour with the "American Music Band" from 1974 that supported this album. I'm see if I can find my copies (and if my PC will still read them). If I do and they work, I'll offer a vine.

There are a couple of those shows floating around in the vines section. Very good quality.

Is it true that is Duane's dobro Dickey is holding, thought I read that,

Can't say enough about Highway Call. Pure joy. Thank you Mr. Betts

I don't know the answer to your question, Bill, but I sure do share your sentiments regarding Highway Call & Mr. Betts.
