Went to the box office tonight to pick up a will call ticket and I heard some wailing guitar music! They also already have the merch section set up ( nice yellow shirts) and now I'm really psyched about this run starting.I wait all year,go thru endless hoops to get tics and spend way too much bread that I should be stashing away for my old age but WOW , when the ABB gets in to the Big Apple I'm so grateful to be going on the ride.See you all tomorrow!

Yup, wait all year for March, negotiate tickets, spend way too much, and have an amazing time every year. I usually have a lull before the first show, like, maybe it won't be such a great series of shows this year, yet inevitably it is. I know tomorrow will be a great night.

Put me in the same club as you guys. I look forward to this all year, spend loads on tickets (4 shows this year) and always have a great time! My first show is 3/6 and I can't wait!

Also ran into Derek and Oteil tonight in the hood and both were friendly and in good spirits.

This trip out east for me is the best fun i get all year? I TOO CANT FRIGGIN WAIT EH. People just dont understand when i tell them how amazin the allman experience is. They are trully missing out in life. Last years final show was undescribable. Never thought id see John Popper and then realize that the other musician that also played the harmonica was even better. Wish i knew who he was, tall long haired native or hispanic dude, blew my socks off?! Also got to meet warren for like 12 seconds. See you soon. Be safe Eh,

The other harp player was Hook Herrera.Really good player, really nice guy.He usually hangs in the rotunda lobby during set breaks, even on nights he doesn't perform and is real approachable.Same thing with Junior Mack and Dave Stolz of Jaimoe's band and Kofie Burbridge , Oteils brother who plays with Derek and Susan's band. If you see a musician at set break talk to them because they are there to mingle with fans and dig it.
I too get doubts before the run that I shouldn't have spent the crazy money it costs but then I also am always glad I've done it both during and after.
ABB is my favorite living band and the long shows at the Beacon allow me to shake off the insanity of the world and be "in the moment" experiencing pure pleasure.I love the creativity of the musicians but also the comfort of songs I've loved since my generation's "Golden Era".

I know exactly what you're feeling, Lovelight. I waited all year, but with one difference. I'm from Brazil, this is my very first time in the US, NYC and in a Allman Brothers show. Only one show, indeed, but Beacon run is a dream coming true. Everything will be new for me. The weather (never felt anything less than 64F, lol!), city, language, and, mainly, ALLMANs MUSIC!! Think that will be awesome! I'll come back to Brazil with a renovated musical spirit!

Heading back this year after a 1 year hiatus. 3 Beacon newbies joining me. They have seen The Bros. at other venues, told them to hold onto their hats, about to be blown away. 3 days in The City, can't wait. Saw a vid of Don't Keep Me Wondering. Gregg sounds strong & Derek was his usual off the hook self. Save some for the 13th boys!
