Terry Bradley - Art Director at HTN - is the artist who designed the tickets and the poster for this year.

Hello JNB,
Any chance you could share what this years poster looks like. Also can I buy it from the site. I am going to the Beacon next week and its hard to get a poster back home without it being damaged.

Thanks, Elmo

Thanks for the interest and the good questions!

It's signed & numbered ( in pencil ) edtion of 1000 by Terry Bradley. It was $30.00 & bring a tube with you cause they are not supplied. I can't upload a picture of it here. I'll try to add a link once I get the submission approval from Expressobeans.com (The premier concert poster website).

It has a Les Paul in the background with the classic ABB logo in a rainbow type of coloring. On the bottom it has all the dates with The Beacon Theatre NYC.

Overall a nice poster, certainly not the best ABB poster but far from the worst too.

Sorry,No offense to the artist. Not impressesd with this years poster. It's NYC! You need to step it up with a real silk screen poster from Jeff Wood, John Warner or Richard Biffle. As part of my annual pilgrimage to see the Brothers, I look forward to the poster. Did not purchase this year.

Jeff Wood was not available due to a self imposed hiatus. I gave JB some suggestions for future poster artists such as Chuck Sperry or Emek . March 2014 will be the 45th anniversary so I'm expecting something special.

Personally I think this year's poster is pretty decent, not the best but not the worst either.

Terry Bradley is an excellent graphic artist, but to be fair to him, he doesn't really do what Jeff Wood does. The kind of old-school screen printing Jeff does is a very specific skill, and Jeff is widely considered one of the best at it. When I worked at HTN, Jeff was one of my favorite people to work with, a truly gifted artist and a solid guy to do business with.

The last time I talked to Jeff, he was phasing out doing concert posters in general to focus on other things. The ABB were actually one of the last music clients he still did posters for, but I guess he has really and truly moved on. Let's just be grateful for all the wonderful works of art he blessed the ABB community with over the past decade or so.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have 3 Jeff Wood ABB posters framed and walled in my place & I never get tired of looking at them. I don't think I ever will either. I hope JB understands he has to step it up a notch in the future. A band as legendary as the ABB deserves no less.

ABB fans are passionate about posters and they will pay $ for quality. Emek & Chuck Sperry produce silkscreen posters every bit as good as Jeff Wood and have a loyal following of collectors who will snap up anything they produce. Guaranteed to sell out an edition of 1000 at any show or series of shows.

They also promote the posters several days before the show on their web pages to alert their collectors which helps ticket sales too.

Great job on the tickets. I got excited when I first saw the poster at a distance. Great concept of colors, but as I got close up, I found it to be computer generated with basic fonts added.Just did not grab me.As Brown Trout said,I would not have minded paying a little more for something at the next level that was hand made by the artist. John Warner just did a poster for Mule that was very impressive.
