Went to lunch in Athens GA today, and this was on the wall:

Restaurant is called 5, on Hull St in downtown (across from the Last Resort) and artist is Lamar Sorrento. If you're ever in the Classic City (or Tuscaloosa or Birmingham) it is good food.

Actually that's a pretty good job. It does capture the spirit of the ABB circ 1970

Thanks Brock, that is cool, simplicity makes it! My only critique is that Butch and Jaimoe are reversed (left side versus right side)

I'm lovin' it!

Here's my painting of Duane from several years back. I've done a recent Derek with Mama Louise - I'll try to put it up later.

Okay, here's Derek and Mama Louise. They say that crazy people paint folk art. I do believe I qualify.

Here are a couple of music related paintings a very good friend of mine gave to me that he had painted. The top painting is on canvas, the second painting is on paper.

Nice Black Sabbath painting with all those references to their album cover art and titles.

Lamar is actually a very good artist who is based out of Memphis, and I believe he's been getting more recognition recently (i.e. I've stumbled across his paintings in several places of business, in different Cities, over the last year or so). He's not a bad musician either, check him out (I actually had Super Electric Hillbilly playing yesterday)!

I do currently have two of his paintings, and anticipate aquiring a few more in the future (he takes special requests)!

Peace!

Nice Sabbath-ish mural artwork

The concept reminds me of how they did the cover for "Live Evil" Images representing varied sabbath tunes.
