Owner: Furnace may be behind deadly Indiana blast

Nov 12, 4:07 PM (ET)

By TOM LoBIANCO and CHARLES WILSON

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The owner of one of the homes that exploded in Indianapolis said Monday that a problem furnace could be to blame for the blast that killed two people and damaged dozens of homes so severely officials say they must be demolished.

John Shirley, 50, of Noblesville, told The Associated Press that his daughter sent him a text message last week complaining that the furnace in the home where she lives with her mother and her mother's boyfriend had gone out and required them to stay at hotel.

But Shirley also said when he asked if the furnace had been fixed, his daughter said yes, and he wasn't aware of any additional problems until he heard from his daughter again Sunday morning.

"I get a text from my daughter saying 'Dad, our home is gone. Then I called my ex-wife and she said what happened," he said.

His ex-wife, Monserrate Shirley, declined to comment Monday.

A spokeswoman for Citizens Energy gas company said the utility didn't receive any reports about a faulty furnace at the home. But spokeswoman Sarah Holsapple also said the homeowner wouldn't necessarily report such a problem to the gas company. And if the homeowner hired someone to fix the furnace, that person also wouldn't need to tell the utility.

Investigators said they have not determined a cause for the Saturday night blast that sparked a massive fire, blew out windows, collapsed ceilings and shook homes up to three miles away. Public Safety Director Troy Riggs said the search for answers could take some time and investigators will treat the area as a crime scene until they rule out foul play.

Much of the investigation so far has focused on natural gas. A utility spokesman said workers have been inspecting mains in the neighborhood but have detected no leaks so far.

Wouldn't a furnace be gas? The gas company ruled out a gas leak. I have never seen an explosion like this obliterate two homes. Absolutely nothing left. Now this was down on the south side and the first thing I thought of was a meth lab.

The military finance complex is in Indy. It is a major target and would cause huge disruptions of our military if it were to be destroyed. I am sure this had nothing to do with Patreus

what are all those squares on the roof ridge out there? skylights, some type of crazy roof venting system, or alien markers? Looks too uniform to be blast damage

No, the company ruled out a leak in a gas line, not in a furnace.

Want to know how a gas leak can obliterate two homes, Google "Gas leak Rancho Cordova" and see the explosion that killed one of my parent's best friends. Still not convinced, Google "Gas leak San Bruno" and see how a gas leak explosion destroyed an entire neighborhood.

That San Bruno explosion was terrifying, but I Do recall some news reports that locals heard planes (they thought they were cargo planes) flying very low just before it happened.

What is really scary is that the US says by 2030 we will have our own oil supplies due to the massive fracking that will go on to extract that shale. Expect more disasters as fires just spread along those pipelines, especially in tornado alley.

They are still not saying what it was. Two days after the explosion. The gas company within hours said it wasn't them. So now it might be a furnace?

26 homes have to be destroyed.

Google drone strike and look at the damage that occurs from these machines. Looks similar to me?

Since the San Bruno explosion was only a couple miles from SFO, I'm sure most people thought it was a plane crash. But, never estimate the danger of natural gas. In that Rancho Cordova explosion they reported natural gas odor for days but the PG&E said they couldn't find the leak. If you smell natural gas in your house, move out until it is 100% fixed. Your life might depend on it.

Well, it's very obvious, Spongebob, they are after you. You have broken their codes. You correctly called the 2009 collapse of our monetary system, when we were all relegated to using gold for barter. And the late 2009 collapse. And the 2010 collapse. The 2011 collapse. The 2012 collapse, The collapse of yesterday, today and tomorrow. You, who have warned with Gina like persistence, about the evil cabal of acronyms poised to takeover the world. The CFR, the NWO, the NRBQ and all of the other sinister letters. You, who smartly sold you house in an upside down market to protect equity that you didn't have. Yes, it's you that they're coming for. Good thing you got that tinfoil hat, they haven't figured out how to defeat that one yet. Stay strong, brave patriot, the future depends on you.

maybe this explains it.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/08/ufos-on-india-china-border_n_20930 03.html

Over the past few months -- between Aug. 1 and Oct. 15 -- more than 100 UFOs have been seen along the India-China border, and the sightings have officials puzzled.

The Times of India reported this week that "yellowish spheres appear to lift off from the horizon on the Chinese side and slowly traverse the sky for three to five hours before disappearing."

The Times of India added that the UFO sightings have stumped numerous Indian military groups, including their air force, NTRO technical intelligence agency and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. Army officials in charge of the 2,100-mile border between the giant Asian countries have reportedly ruled out Chinese drones or low-orbit satellites, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Members of the Indian ITBP sent reports to their Delhi headquarters, describing the spheres as Unidentified Luminous Objects, or ULOs, whether they're seen during the day or night.

After examining hazy photographs of the ULOs taken by the ITBP, army officials ruled out unmanned aerial vehicles, reports India Today.

In September, the Indian army brought a mobile ground-based radar unit and spectrum analyser to the top of a mountain near Pangong Lake between India and China.

According to India Today, while one of the ULO's was spotted visually, it wasn't picked up on the radar, which indicated it was non-metallic.

Also in September, a team of astronomers from the Indian Astronomical Observatory at Hanle observed the ULOs for several days. While they couldn't figure out exactly what the objects were, they ruled out meteors and planets.

Yes, a natural gas leak inside the house from a furnace, stove or hot water heater. Fill a house with natural gas and create a spark....kaboom. Happened a year ago to a house about a mile from where I live. I just happened to be outside on my deck facing the direction of the blast and was hit by the powerful air pressure wave followed by the sound wave.

You really think a covert operation to bring about the final collapse would be botched like this ? If so, we don't have much to fear from the Keystone Kops of the coming New World Order.

This being a conspiracy makes no sense. First, if they were covering something up they would have called it a gas explosion or something else and be done with it. They wouldn't still be saying that it is a mystery. Second, if it was a missile, then parts of it would have been found for a huge distance around the site and someone would have found a part.

Where did I say this was a covert operation to bring about the final collapse?

These guys aren't perfect, but they sure do know how to cover up their tracks.
