Times are tough, friends, and as much as it pains me to part with it, I am in a jam and need to sell my Dickey Betts-autographed "Eat a Peach" T-shirt. It's up on ebay now.

The thing is, I'd much rather a die-hard fan from this community end up with it than some casual fan or collector who wants to flip it and turn a profit. It's from the Allmans' 1998 "Homecoming" run at the Fox Theater in Atlanta and is in excellent condition.

Here's a link—help this bad boy find a good home... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290809157221

Thanks,
DeadNeck

I really never understood why someone would get a shirt autographed.
You can't really wear it or wash it without possibly damaging the autograph and it would be hard to display unless you had it framed.

That's why I stick to posters and vinyl covers or a cd if it's all I have.

Hell even an autographed ticket stub would be better than a shirt.

Good luck!!!

I wonder why he wrote "fax" on it. Must have had a premonition.

it's written "Fox" for Fox Theatre..bet that was one hell of a show too..

Saw quite a few shows , a few ABB @ the Fox, but never the ABB WITH Dickey at the Fox..what a great memory that must be for you.

Praying your hard times ease up soon .

DB signed a ABB 'Trust No Band Under 30' T-shirt for me in August 2000 and the signatures are almost exact; down to the skipping part of of the 'D'. I guess that happens when trying to sign a shirt someone is wearing.

Thanks for the kind words, Carol. They are much appreciated. And TanDan, you are correct, sir. The sig is definitely Dickey's, as I watched him sign it. Looks slightly different than Dickey's album cover autograph because it's harder to write on a T-shirt, but if you compare to other shirts he's signed, it's 100% authentic.

And those shows at the Fox were indeed incredible. Such a great run - saw all but one of the nights.

Unfortunately, though, the autographed Dickey shirt didn't sell on first try, so I've dropped the opening bid price down to $35 and re-listed. If anyone's interested, here's a link...

Money goes to my about-be-canceled car insurance. Thanks in advance for any bids.

You sure that signature is legit? Looks like an autopen to me.
