in Birmingham this weekend.

And staying in my little garage apartment while in town.

I know he's been on the ABB periphery for decades - anything I really NEED to ask him about?

I'm really looking forward to it........

"... you don't need to know
everything about me ..."

R. Bramblett
- "Comin' Round Soon" (Thin Places LP)

Berkath, Donna and I tried to get in on this show - to no avail. You lucky, private partiers!

Randall has been a southern fixture for years He's played with everybody from Livingston Taylor to Gregg Allman to Sea Level to Widespread Panic to Highly Kind. He's pretty much an official member of Traffic these days.

Have a great time at the private event. If Randall needs a roadie, or if the party runs short on ice or supplies - y'all give me a shout!

join the Blues Society.

Or at least the mailing list or Facebook group or something.

We do about 4 of these house parties a year. Usually they don't "sell out" till a few days beforehand. Randall is definitely the biggest name so far and sold out a couple weeks ago, but regardless, they are pretty damn fun, and very casual.

And I seem to have become the "can so and so crash at your pad" guy. Which is great.

He put on a FABULOUS show at the Iridium for the HTN Beacon party a couple of years ago.

Ask him how Jimmy Nalls is doing.

And about his work on the Highly Kind CD.

He seems like a great guy - very low key and thankful for what music has brought him. Here's a cool recent video of "Where are you tonight?" My friend's nephew Nick Johnson has a great solo in the last minute - we are so glad to see him playing with Randall!

Randall is a major talent and his Thin Places CD is something fans on this site should own.

Saw Randall and his boys at Bele Chere the other weekend, excellent show. Would love to see them in a "house party" enviroment. Major score that you got someone of this talent at a "house party" believe me. I'm more than jealous.

Have been a fan of Randall's since the early days with Boyer & Talton. Great writer, musician, and distinct vocals. I still think his best albums or CD's are the first two "That Other Mile" and "Light Of The Night".

Rusty is a professional photographer/filmmaker, you should have him there to record the event for the Blues Society.
