snapshot of Tinsley right after he found out we're coming tomorrow...

I LOVE his guitar in the second picture! I'm not an expert on all of the Gibson models, but I'm guessing an older 335? Love, love, love it.

Enjoy the show, coot*!

Thanks EZ! Slim and me will represent for the MT.

his other Gibson is a Les Paul Deluxe
(has the mini humbuckers)

Pete Townshend used them in the 70's

He has a sweet early 60's strat (the sound is heavenly) that SRV played at some time. I got to hold it while EO & JB were breaking down here.

So I held a guitar that Tinsley and SRV have played. I have touched the goldtop and the tractor (when BO jr. was showing it to BDOB).

I think he has a regular LP Standard now. If I remember correctly, he played that when I saw him last May.

For Kitty's knowledge:

Within the past week or so, I have received the following Bob Seger CDs that I did not have:

It's A Mystery

Smokin' O.P.'s

The Distance

Stranger in Town

Beautiful Loser

And the two best ones, live releases:

Nine Tonight

Live Bullet - I would put this up closely against Fillmore East as the best live CD ever.

Good for you! I have them all except It's a Mystery - had it on cassette at one time. Wish I had Mongrel on cd -still ave it on cassette. Agreed on Live Bullet - it's a very close 2nd.

I have most of them on cassette as well. My Amazon account is almost empty or I would search for some Bob Seger System CDs if they are even in print.

Thanks, man! I love the faded binding on older guitars and that tobacco 'burst. It may be silly, but I also love Gibson's fretboard inlays.

Fitting for a Thursday: I had my annual physical exam this morning. "Assume the position!"
