In watching the Olympics, I have seen some "sports" that I thought were odd.

Ping Pong?

Synchronized swimming?

Badmitton?

This one takes the cake: Equestrian. There is a lady riding around on a horse to a Tears for Fears song. The announcer said she should get high marks for her interpretation of the music.

You hafta be effing kidding me.

There are definitely some strange ones. What I dislike even more is how the Winter Olympics has been "X-Gamed" with different events.

should be a good soccer game on later

Good Morning!

Now that beach volleyball is over, I may be more selective watching the olympics.

3/4 of the Moid household enjoys watching sports on tv.

My youngest, not so much.

Last night when we switched from Comedy Central to the prime-time Olympics, this was what he said:

"You mean we're watching this crap instead of South Park?"

Teenagers.

BTW, were the beach volleyball players told not to grope each other this year?

Far less PDA this Olympics.

Female beach volleyball might just be the best thing ever known to man.

Good morning

Moving my Grandmother's Hammond C3 organ to my house today. By a stroke of luck and logistics it ended up in my hands.

Pretty good stroke of luck.

Wow! Y'all are a good bunch! Enjoy it.

Very cool, Tom! Good for you.

As Zappa would say a "hammond organism."

Now if I can only figure out how to play it. I should be able to master the organ part at the beginning of Dreams

3/4 time. Some scores I have seen have it as 6/8 (two sets of triplets, duh) Dm7 and Dsus4, I think.

I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I was playing Dreams this past weekend on the strat.

Gawd, I suck. So I am starting with easy songs and trying to learn timing more than anything. I have been playing some Neil Young (Powderfinger G,C, Bm, C...)

For Kitty's knowledge:

Within the past week or so, I have received the following Bob Seger CDs that I did not have:

It's A Mystery

Smokin' O.P.'s

The Distance

Stranger in Town

Beautiful Loser

And the two best ones, live releases:

Nine Tonight

Live Bullet - I would put this up closely against Fillmore East as the best live CD ever.

Good for you! I have them all except It's a Mystery - had it on cassette at one time. Wish I had Mongrel on cd -still ave it on cassette. Agreed on Live Bullet - it's a very close 2nd.

Gotta get back to work. I'm swamped but couldn't resist a little slacking. It's in my blood - a pint of which is being removed at 1:30 today.

I LOVE his guitar in the second picture! I'm not an expert on all of the Gibson models, but I'm guessing an older 335? Love, love, love it.

Enjoy the show, coot*!
