Thunderstorm rolling through. Hope we get some decent rain. We're 9 - 12" below normal rainfall. 102 here today. Y'all can have this on the east coast. We've had it for weeks.

Rude ass.

Thanks

I just called....absolutely no chairs allowed, you can bring a blanket....she said the field will be covered so you're not sitting on the grass...

Now.. I'm not sure wott I'm gonna do. Must think about this...

You can **** on a blanket in the Berm area - $115.00. I asked that question.

Now, we're talking!

Knowing this ballpark, it really doesn't make a lot of sense to pay $30 extra to sit on a blanket in the berm area on hard ground. Those seats will still be a long way from the stage. The actual ballpark seats are cheaper and prolly more comfortable I'd guess.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Are you going to be able to come to the show?

Workin' on it.

Really hope you can make it.

I talked to eL-coot* last night. He is getting his ducks lined up, sounds like we will get our tickets tonight in section 108 if seats are still available.

Bet they are. Try to get seats toward the 110 section side of 108. I bought the first 2 tix in that section, so there's gotta be plenty.

10-4 sister, we'll see what we can do to get seating close together.

Really looking forward to seeing you both. It's been too damn long.

Went to the weekly open blues jam last night. I was outside when a hotel van dropped of 2-guys and 2-chicks. Turns out they are from Vienna Austria and they will be playing at Knuckleheads in KC Friday and playing at Omaha's Playing With Fire concert series Saturday night. They took the stage and played a couple songs. They were very good.

you can listen to Meena here:

The headliner this Saturday night will be Rick Vito. Never seen him live but I really like his slide playing:

Don't remember the exact tune at the moment but heard a song with some incredible slide that I thought was Duane during his session days. It was Vito. I couldn't tell the difference.

I saw Rick Vito my senior year of high school, when he got drafted into Fleetwood Mac's Tango In The Night tour. That was when Lindsay Buckingham quit the band like two weeks before the tour started. The KC show was the tour opener. I was much too into the girl I took to notice. Friend of mine sold some valium to a Chiefs player at that show. As I recall from the pre-concert scene, the highly-fueled 80s were in high gear.

Vito played slide on Seger's "Like A Rock." Gorgeous playing on that tune, really.
