I am sure everyone here knows about Penn State Univ.... do you agree with the NCAA punishment of PSU and Joe Paterno?

I do not agree of taking away Paterno's wins but I do agree about banning them from bowl for 4 years, a fine, among other things. Why are they trying to make everyone forget Paterno when Sandusky was the one who did all this.... Have we forgotten about Jerry Sandusky and focused on Paterno now?....

Sorry rant over. Procede about your daily business.

I believe that PSU should have gotten the Death Penalty for one or two years.

Sandusky's crimes first became knowledge in 1998. That entire time, PSU enabled Sandusky, up to and including the use of PSU facilities. A week before this thing finally got blown open, Sandusky was working out in the Penn State football weight room. No one will ever convince me that they didn't know who Sandusky really was.

Paterno and the rest of the PSU Administration chose to look the other way for years while children's lives were being destroyed and all the damage to them and their legacies are all well deserved.

In a way, IMO, Paterno is actually lucky he passed away and isn't alive for all of this.

All just IMO, of course.

I don't think the NCAA has any jurisdiction into what happened at Penn State.

They are playing in the legal/doj arena. These are matter for courts, not athletic sanctioning bodies.

I agree that $165 is steep ... I can't afford $165 tix (well, I can but I won't ). But here's the seating chart and the ticket/pricing is as follows:
GA (field) - 165
1st and 3rd base berms - 115
Section 100, 200, 300 - 85
(Anyway this is the pricing that has appeared when I've attempted orders for all of these different sections)

Seating Chart:

Buy tix here:
http://www.etix.com/ticket/online/performanceSale.do?method=removeAllSeats

Don't see anywhere that the subject of portable seating is addressed ... don't know what 'GA' means here...

My thoughts are the NCAA should have taken all the money in profits that PSU would have gotten from football for the next 14 years and donated that to a fund for the victims or a charity that works with this type of abuse.

This way the more popular PSU football is the more money would go to a charity. Go to a bowl? Get more $. Sign a high prospect? More time on TV so more $.

Take away what the President, AD and coach were trying to protect. $. Pure and simple.

FYI - It's in Lincoln, NE, which is about an hour or so west of Omaha.

Thanks, Deb. If I get time I'll call them. I'm not clear on it either.

OK - I called & talked to a real person named Whitney (a ticket rep for the stadium). The stage will be pushed as far back into centerfield as possible. The field tix are for standing and are $165.00. The 1st & 3rd Base Berms $115.00 are a bit elevated and you can bring a blanket to sit on. I asked about lawn chairs and she wasn't sure but didn't think they were allowed- definitely are not allowed for games. The rest of the tix are $85.00 for any of the stadium seats. There are plenty of tix available for any level you want to go with. I'm old enough and have a crappy enough back to consider seats or the berms. No way I can stand all that time. There are video boards with closeups of the stage.

Hope this helps.

This is what I was understanding from looking at the ticket site, Kitty. I will probably go with one of the 85 stadium seats (100 section would be great - especially 109-112) then end up standing behind the back row so I can dance without disturbing people.
