Gregg in his book says that Butch still harbors a grudge that this group did not become the Allman Brothers. I think Gregg said the music was too folky and it was not what Duane was looking for.

Still got my copy!!! I remember my mum allowing me to order it. Pretty cool back then. It was like getting 22 singles all at once! Popcorn by Hot Butter, not cool!

I think (fantastic) that the announcer (really cooks) was the (original) model for (fantastic) Kevin (fantastic) Nealon's (original) subliminal man.

Despite the questionable circumstances surrounding the release of the pre-ABB material and its subsequent promotion ("Exhibit A being this K-Tel advertisement), I still think that there is definite merit and substance to the actual music. I'm sure Gregg cringes when reminded if it, but I like occasionally listening to it!

I like how the announcer clarifies "original Allman" as if to distance this release from any of the bogus ones put out by Capricorn with titles like "At Fillmore East" & "Brothers & Sisters".

Well, neither one of those albums is fantastic, nor do they really cook. Wait, what?
