Classic Rock publishers are publishing "Blues" - a new mag for us lovers of the blues. Looks like some good articles there, including Royal Southern Brotherhood. However, I'm wondering if the extortionate cover price of 8 has anything to do with Joe "1500 for 4 show ticket" Bonamassa having the lead article. These struggling blues guys need the money.

Picked it up, saw the price, put it down. Can't even have a scan through as it's in a sealed envelope.

Looks like a very good magazine ... but at 8 (that's about $13 to our American friends) I won't be buying a copy ... shame!!!

I see issue 2 isn't on sale until 30 August so it works out at 4 a month.

I may buy and make my mind up. But its publication may be short-lived at this cover price at this time.

I love Classic Rock magazine and it's Prog variation. I'm looking forward to the Blues mag. I thought about subscribing but last time I checked it was over a hundred dollars for a year subscription to Classic Rock. For now I'll stick to buying a few here and there at Books A Million or Barnes & Noble. If you see it check it out, they cover tons of music ignored by other music magazines, and if memory serves it's one of few print magazines with steady growth in sales and subscriptions. Perhaps we classic rock music fans are tired of being ignored by mainstream music mags. I know I am.
