Wow. Saw this one show up and 'bing' - had to grab 'em. What a great duo to be playing seaside together. TWO nights next Fri and Sat (6/22 and 6/23 methinks). Summer kickoff for sure.

I'm going to catch the Friday show from the beach. Mule will be plenty loud to hear from across the street and the price is right...

Stone Pony Summer Stage. It is outdoors and you can hear perfectly from the boardwalk and beach if you don't want to pay to get in.

We're going to Saturday show. Is the Stone Pony on the beach? Never been there. Any cool music stores in the area? We're coming from Scranton, PA (home of the Peach Fest and Dunder Mifflin).

It's basically on the beach. Across the street from the boardwalk. There is a music center (Russo's) on Cookman avenue. The sell instruments and whatnot downstairs, but also records and vintage clothes upstairs. I highly recommend walking up and down Cookman and Mattison if you have time before the show. Some cool stores and restaurants. Feel free to PM me if you want some specifics. I live in Asbury.

Hey there! Ray & I will be there Saturday night. In addition to Brendan's recommendations (hey Brendan), I will also add that a friend of mine just opened up a Rock-N-Roll clothing store - called FETISH ~ 644 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park....so if you are be-boppin' down Cookman stop in and say hey to Charlie & Diane.

ALSO (and this is WAY COOL, and a place we LOVE to go)....the Silverball Museum, right on the boards - it has pinball machines from back in the 30's through the 80's. It used to be $10 for an hour, but think it went up to $15 for an hour and you can play any machine in the place. $20 for two hours. We love going there - seems me wrists always hurt the next day though!

Nothing like summer stage on a warm summer evening. Hoping to see a bunch of you there!

I saw Mule there a couple of years ago. Very uncomfortable venue. They pack in the crowd into a square fenced in area next to the Stone Pony. We felt like we were in the backyard wedding scene from the movie 'Easy Money'. Was a great show but very uncomfortable. As somebody stated above you can actually see and hear from the boardwalk across the street. If I were ever gonna go there to check out any shows again I would watch for free from the boardwalk.
