Did not see Fri night but the setlist looked good there.
But last night Set 1 ....WOW, that was awesome!!
Maybe I am biased to those first three songs, cause they are some of my fav's, but having those back to back to back was killer for me. Thats how I like my Mule, good hard rocking, in your face grooves, and Warrens nasty guitar playing. Jorgen is a monster, what a plus having him in the band. Game face is always good, love the instrumental in it. We caught most of the Levon set, which was very good.

I have never see Warren play that black SG before...very cool indeed!!

I thought I clips did a very good job streaming that on line. We had my wifes lap top
outside on our back patio with speakers hooked up, a few adult beverages, and it was all good. I think you can go back and watch it again in a few days.

Great set bothnights and a nice tribute to Levon.

I can't wait to see Mule in Louisville on the 14th.

Holy sht!! Blue Lou, Lou Marini, on Sco-Mule? That must have been great.

I had Prof. Louie and the Crommatix play at my wedding 8 years ago and Louie told me he was going to have Blue Lou come and play in the horn section. Blue Lou couldn't make it, but Louie brought along Tom "Bones" Malone instead, which was a great addition.

Blue Lou also plays a great golden pharaoh in the Steve Martin King Tut sketch on SNL from waay back when!!

The Levon tribute was very beautiful and perfect in both length and execution. I am sure Levon was overlooking the proceedings with that huge grin he always wore on his face! I hope that band continues in some way maybe with Rambles with rotating special guests or something but they are too good and have too much chemistry to not go on. That music should keep on going IMO!

I second Sixty's comment about the Levon tribute. As I stated a week or two ago, I wasn't that thrilled when they announced that this tribute was going to be part of Mule's set on Saturday night, but it was done perfectly and was great addition. On top of that, we got a third set of just Mule right afterward which I thought really kicked ass......

I have to add that I really enjoyed Jorgen's contributions on both Friday and Saturday night. For some reason I found myself watching and listening to him more than I have at previous shows and it really became apparent to me just how freaking good he is. And his long solo during, I think, Thorazine Shuffle, was really good.

Warren uses that black SG for Brighter Days only.

I was standing at the rail just to Warren's right for both shows and the Saturday show was totally kicking my ass. Unbelievable power and force. And the third set was a real treat. Plus how cool of the Mule to play for 3 hours and 20 minutes without a set break on Friday so we wouldn't have to stand in the rain an extra half hour. As always, Mule alone is worth the price of admission.

Not only that but for that final Mule set the whole bottom of the mountain was enveloped in fog!!! Those of us up on the mountain got treated to one of the coolest and trippiest light shows I have ever seen to go along with the incredible jamming!!!
