I saw the New Blood tour and really enjoyed it, but this sounds much better.

I wonder, was Pino Palladino in the So touring band? He's all over that album, and his bass groove gives many of the songs on So its R&B feel.

The bass players on the So album are Tony Levin, Larry Klein and Bill Laswell. I believe that Tony Levin has been the sole touring bassist for most of Peter Gabriel's career.

Nice to see a Boston date. Haven't seen Peter since the Growing Up tour (Saw him at Mohegan Sun in 2002 and at Great Woods in 2003). I passed on the Orchestral tour. Peter sounded fine on "Scratch My Back," but the album was a bit of a sleeper. If he's got David Rhodes, Tony Levin, Manu Katche and the others on this tour, it should be real good.

Tony Levin did most of the bass on So and was the touring bassist and usually is for Peter.

These shows will be awesome if they are even close to the original shows. The band rocked! Is he inviting all the African musicians that opened and sat in during his set? Would be even better if so.

I got the email about this yesterday. So is being given the full 25th Anniversary treatment with a 3cd set and deluxe box set (no details of what's contained in these yet), plus the original album being given a re-release.

With the WOMAD festival in UK celbrating 30 years this year (Gabriel was one of the instigators and is still involved) and special acts promised, I'm now praying that tomorrow's latest WOMAD lineup announcement will include a PG So warmup gig! It's only 5 miles from me and I already have my tix booked.

Way cool. I'm looking at either the Chicago or Denver show.
