Dickey injured his finger badly tonight and kicked ass all night thru despite that,
He was on top of his game - throwing Mountain and Jimi riffs on the most welcome spots,
Tossed out his set list, mixed up the riffs and was at his creative and performing best at the Ethical Culture Society tonight.
Been going to see him since 1969 and was thrilled to hear him create so superbly tonight.

Gorgeous night, I asked one of the Gents in Dickey's camp if it was ok to tape non-professionally to upload for fans and got the blessing, I was worried and brought no tripod, Some stuff will be viewable, but thru no fault of Mr. Betts, Great display of his input into the ABB classics, Nice night!

Will the finger injury cause any cancellations/postponement of shows?

Sure like to see him hit Western New York.

YES..YES..YES..YES !!!!!!

I have been such a huge Dickey fan for all of these decades. Its been so troubling to hear of all his problems, and the very sub-par performances we have all seen via youtube and other vids.

I sure hope that this means Dickey has got things together now and he will get back to playing that guitar the smooth soaring way that ONLY DICKEY can do it.

Love the reviews!

I am a lucky guy who has never caught one of the off shows so it doesn't suprise me at all. Still nice to read though.

I think that most of the loyal DB fans have stood with him through thick and thin.. good shows and not so good shows... The thing for me is I actually never saw DB really have a B A D show... he has played short shows according to the venues.. when fans make reviews on something they think is less than stellar , it takes on a life of it's own. Especially if they are musicians and I mean the ones who haven't matured to any professional level to be as critical as I have seen and read them to be on site here.. ..it suddenly gives them an inside clue on what makes DB have an O F F night... I don't understand that ...
Anyway, I have always said ..if you have the chance while DBGS are still out on the road go see them... It is musical history, soul satisfying, mystical... it is Dickey Betts founding member of the Allman Brothers Band... not to be missed..
