Very little info so far from Florida. I understand you folks are just getting home but I look forward to hearing how the various bands sounded, played, entertained, etc.?

So get your showers in, purge your livers and fill us in please.

Unfiltered:
Thursday lineup could have been stronger, since WH couldn't be there until friday, maybe Tuna & NMAS or vise versa, off add LoS. Lucky, could have been wetter - only rained hard for 15 minutes or so. Green lasers in trees is cool late night, wookies out.

Friday - BLR always kills, Hornsby was good, but stick to the keys with a short festy set.
Buddy always plays the same set, caught from afar. TTB crushed. Fantastic setlist with dTb nugs and awesome versions of Slide, harlem, Glory in particular. Furthur faded away. Scarlet>Fire>Eyes was the highllight. Wheel tried to bring it back late, too late. Something was up with the long delay before ABB. Blue Sky was an obvious highlight among others already discussed other places on the site. Late night Jamtronica brings out the crazies. Interesting lasers in the trees of the mushroom stage.

Sat - prepared for bad weather that never really materialized, except unfortunately during Mule's set. The day went by fast. maybe too much blood in my alcohol stream. Split time between Trigger and LoS. should have seen the whole TH set, as LoS plays a ton around Colorado. Furthur threw down. Tons of highlights including Viola>Bertha>Viola>wharf>Viola. Night 2 ABB is well documented. I enjoyed the music, didn't enjoy thinking/not knowing about Gregg's condition. NMAS was good, didn't make it to the end.

Overall:
Ross - Oteil. Really into it, dancing all over.
Hardest working (selke) - Bobby Lee Rodgers
Hart - TTB set
Calder - Planet of the Abts on the Traveling stage, Sweaty jams.
Vesnia - Put you chair down before 9 and you can sneak in some booze for later and have a great seat for all the shows.

LOL nice use of the NHL awards.

Thanks for update, I have seen a bunch of pictures on FB but no talk of the music.

Glad to hear NMAS showed up. I gotta make it to Wanee!!

Per my Guest Book post:

Over 3+ days and 4 nights, I saw at least 3 songs or entire sets from Flannel Church, Bobby Lee Rogers Trio, Ray Manzerak, Honeytribe, Hot Tuna, Bruce Hornsby, Matt Schoefield, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Furthur, Dumpstafunk, Allman Brothers, Jaimoe's Jassz Band, Planet of the Abts, Trigger Hippy, Leftover Salmon, and Gov't Mule (rained out during 4th song).

My favorite sets were from Hornsby, Furthur (Sat night - caught about 75 minutes), Jaimoe's Jassz Band and Tedeschi Trucks. Pleasant surprises from Trigger Hippy, Leftover Salmon (saw about 6-8 songs) & Flannel Church (Wed night).

Music earlier in the week is always fun. This time, we got Flannel Church on Wednesday night. They played the Barn stage to a few thousand, but most of the vendors are set up by that stage too. It sometimes is my favorite evening.

Thursday was definitely lower scale this year without a big name (like Panic last year) and no Peach stage shows. I didn't mind it, because I like hanging at the mushroom stage/ampitheatre and enjoying the grounds & river at Spirit of Suwanee.

Crowd was easily 20K by Friday night so they booked enough music.

Tim, I heard someone at the park say they sold 30K tickets, and then I read a review somewhere that said 40K. I wish SOSMP would publish attendance numbers, just for the heck of it. It's come a long way since 2005, when there was 5K, maybe 7K tops in the park. Those were good times, for sure!

I should add that my personal music highlight was getting to play/sing around the campfire Saturday night with Junior Mack and Reggie Pittman (from Jaimoe's Jassz Band) accompanying me on acoustic. It was some kind of bizzaro world where world class players who had been on stage earlier with the ABB were soloing over my chords and between verses.

Playing with Dana & Thorston from Kettle of Fish around the fire on Thursday night was another highlight for me.

A number of us from HTW got in on the action.

All of these guys were very humble and generous and it helped an amateur like me have an amazing time.
