Record store day is Saturday. What are you going to buy? I am going to pick up The Band's 2nd CD, ELO Eldrodo, STS9, Praticle, Chocolate Watchband and maybe something by the Doors.

Did not get any new Particle or STS9. However there was a Byrds at the Fillmore that I picked up for 5 bucks. But the interesting thing was at the participating stores there were 5 free CDs, a bag and a couple of other record day give a ways. So I got all of that stuff also. ll in all not a bad day.

If I lived in LA, I definitely would've gone to Amoeba Music. I've heard you can spend hours in that store. There's a few stores in Dallas, but I didn't go to any today. Good Records is the one everyone talks about. Haven't been to it though.

I will peruse the used cd racks at my local favorite small business and then hit the Mighty Taco that hopefully opened on schedule earlier this week. I've been waiting months.

You can only be from place, Rochester, NY. I'm in Tonawanda and have several Mighty Taco's within about 20 minutes, one walking distance from my house. Just moved back to Buffalo and Mighty was definitely one of the big pluses.

Visited a couple of record stores today and only came away with a used vinyl copy of U2's Wide Awake in America. None of the RSD releases excited me much. The Iggy Pop Raw power looked good, except for the price.

Picked up the Ozzy Live 2 LP set. Kinda disappointed by the packaging and I think it's the same live set on the Diary Of A Madman reissue.

Almost bought that today. $35 here in Canada and thought too much for almost a re-release.

I got the Respect Aretha Franklin one side, Otis Redding the other side RSD 45. Also-picked up one of the Uncle Tupelo re-releases, then I went vinyl hunting in the used sections of Ditch Records here in Victoria.

Picked up Dave Brubeck live at Carnegie Hall, First and only pressing of Son Volts, Wide Swing Tremelo (have never seen before), Original Aretha Live at the Filmore, Stan Rogers (Cdn Folkie) Fogarty's Cove and then I found on vinyl the original still in plastic 2 Live Crew 12" of Oh me so horny. LOL

I buy a wide range of vinyl. I think buying a wild and weird selection of vinyl will pay off for my kids one day.

No Tedeshi Trucks or GD RSD releases availble in Canada.

Oh well their loss.

Great RSD day in Victoria!!!

Dave, get volume II as well if you don't have it. Aretha Franklin, King Curtis, Wilson Pickett, Ronnie Hawkins, Johnny Jenkins, among others.

It is truly amazing the amount of things he played on.

I am surprised by some of the members cd purchases. I would have guessed that everyone has DA2, CSNY Four Way Street and Hendrex. But look at me I got The Band second cd. It looks like most scored well.

I went to a record fair in Binghamton, NY yesterday and got Brothers & Sisters, Idlewild South and Allman & Woman on vinyl. Crazy as it sounds, Allman & Woman was the one I was looking for and I found a really nice copy. Brothers & Sisters doesn't have "Jelly Jelly" listed on the cover and the insert lists "Early Morning Blues." Anybody know what's up with that?
