I find it kind of funny that I've been reading articles for the last month about ABB/Santana at Merriweather and I can't find anything offical on this show at all.

Perhaps the collaboration fell through. I see Meadowbrook landed him. Cool venue.

All the Santana dates listed so far occur during Gov't Mule's time in Europe. There's still a possibilty of an ABB/Santana combo in late July and August. We'll probably find out what's going on once Wanee in FL is over with.

The Merriweather date was originally announced as a one time ABB-Santana appearance. Although it's not on any schedules, there are no conflicts with Santana's posted dates or with Mules (don't know about the TTB or GA).

My money is on a contractual issue with the Borgata in Atlantic City where Santana has two dates (July 20/21), which might preclude the announcement of the July 30 co-bill until after the Borgata shows go on sale.

Merriweather's website already says Santana and ABB as well. I have mixed feelings, after I just decided I would fly out for this. I'm assuming ABB will open, do you think both Bands will play equal time?

the way the are listing these on Live Nation looks like alternating headlining with Santana.

Like with Phil.

I think you are right. Live nation has not listed merriweather yet, but it appears ABB would open that, which means I pry won't fly that far to see ABB open for anybody......short of Miles rising from the dead. I can't catch a damn break. Actually I would fly that far if it was ABB and Phil, but not Santana

Those of you getting the co-bill are lucky, the nearest Santana date to me so far has no announced opener and is when Mule is in Europe

As rumored, the Hartford, Connecticut show will have the Santana/ABB combo. We'll be there, of course. Might be able to swing the Saratoga, NY and Boston shows as well (in Boston they are playing alone). Psyched.

Just got my presale info from Santana....unfortunately all the dates are well away from the South.

NJ, NY, Boston, CT, MI., Md. Maryland is doable if I had 3 days...nah

No Middle Earth love... Was hoping to see a Red Rocks date appear, also...

Hey y'all,

The dates are all on this website under tour dates - they went up at 8AM this morning which was the official release time.

I hear rumors of a Peach-o-gram that went out this morning too...

Hit that note,
Rowland

during the ABB / Widespread Panic tour from a couple years ago, the first band listed was the closer.

based on that...

7/22 Darien Lake - ABB closes
7/24 Jones Beach - ABB closes
7/25 Holmdel - Santana closes
7/27 SPAC - Santana closes
7/28 Hartford - ABB closes
7/30 MPP - ?

I'll be in my seat for showtime either way....the thought of a Liz Reed or Les Bres with Mr Carlos Santana is pretty intense.

I wouldn't get hung up on the term opener as they will be equal sets. Plus the possibility of some all star jams with all concerned sounds promising.

The tailgate party at Darien is always fun but I haven't been to SPAC is a few years so have to . Maybe both.
