Sue, do you have any more info on the May 3rd with Alan Light?
Which apple store in NYC? Grand Central maybe? There are a lot of apple stores in NYC.
Thanks, ... Al

Costco and Sam's Club? Seems like odd places for book signings especially for Gregg Allman. Granted I've seen a few ABB shirts worn by shoppers my local Costco but with the cliental that goes there, if they see something about Gregg Allman, they might think of Cher and that's about it.

Either way, I hope this book signing venture is successful and fun.

May 7 is Monday after the Derby. Man, I'd love to go to that.
Any chance Terry or E.J. or somebody is going to put something together the day before? I'd hate to just ride down, get a book and get it signed, turn around and go home. But I would.

All these events are listed on Gregg's facebook page under the events tab. You can get directions via those links which will give you exact location. I would also imagine a POG will go out soon to inform everyone.

Re: http://store-locator.barnesandnoble.com/event/73332

The article says limited wristbands available at 10 am. As to what can you do for two hours while waiting. Well, there are some things happening in the city on May 1st and elsewhere that day that you should be aware of.

http://maydaynyc.org/

2 p.m. — March to Union Square
•March and make music with the Occupy Guitarmy, led by Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine! OWS Music is enlisting 1,000 guitar-playing musicians to join this march. Please contact OWS Music if you would like to be a specialist.

4 p.m. — Unity Rally at Union Square
•The May Day Solidarity Coalition has organized an historic convergence of the 99%!
•Join Occupy Wall Street, labor unions, the immigrant justice coalition, students, and faith & community groups will hold a massive rally at Union Square.
•Musical performances by Das Racist, Dan Deacon, Tom Morello, Immortal Technique, Bobby Sanabria, and other special guests.

Since he is recovering from his hernia surgery, he surely cannot be marching even with a guitar army, but it ought to be an interesting day.

I was planning to head over at 11:30 on May 1 from my office. Do you all think I will be able to get it done?

Looks like I'll be doing the Macon run turnaround. Hoping to find Mr. Allman feeling well and on the mend.

Everyone planning on going to Macon to see Gregg on Monday May 7 needs to go to http://www.thebighousemuseum.com/home/ and read the announcement. It's more than a book signing and it's a little pricy.

That's really expensive. It must be for crowd control because the museum itself is only 8 bucks admission.

I was all set to go, but seeing as I already have my autographed book ordered, and am pretty well tapped out from Wanee, I think I'm going to have to pass. Besides, they are selling tickets to this and I'm sure it will sell out. Hate to miss an opportunity to meet Gregg, but a man's gotta know his limitations.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up, Dave.
I guess I'll just order it from HTN.
Sure keeps the riff-raff out.

Let's see, $25 for the book, $8 to get in the Big House, so I guess the autograph and a BBQ plate costs $92. So much for the regular fans I guess, they must not want us there. Sucks.

Thanks for the heads up Dave, you saved me a trip, all I wanted to do was drive up after work, buy a book, get Gregg to sign it, tell everyone there I know hello, and then drive back home.

I would have never guessed it would have turned into a money-making venture for the ABB/Big House, but then again I should not be surprised.

Randy, Wayne, and Dave,

I realize it is a few extra miles for the Augusta guys (but certainly cheaper than $125), but y'all have two opportunities to have the man sign for free on May 8th in Atlanta:

5/8: Barnes & Noble, Buckhead (12-30-2:30pm)
5/8: Eagle Eye Bookshop, Atlanta (7-9pm)

Although I'm pumped to be with my wife and daughter at the beach in Destin on 5/8, I am very disappointed I am going to miss the opportunity to thank Gregg and shake his hand. I've never met him before.

Ryan

I was certainly not trying to discourage anyone from going to The Big House, but I didn't want anyone making a road trip only to get sticker shock when they walk up to go in.

I'm debating the 7-9PM book signing in ATL on May 8. I have the autographed book pre-ordered from HTN. I could stand buying another one at the book signing, but I need to save $100 whenever I get a chance nowadays.
