Do Allman Joy songs count?

I want to hear Down in Texas. I've always REALLY liked that tune. It's one of my favorite Gregg vocals, and Derek and Warren could have fun jamming out at the end of the song.

Back Where it All Begins. As good a song as there ever was. Alas, it has gone on...

Maybe not technically ABB, Morning Dew from 31st of Feb is still possible. Do it!

Bad Rain is a good choice. Would LOVE to hear that.

In all of the shows I have seen, I was only fortunate enough to get Nobody Knows twice, first time at the first show I was at and the second at the Beacon in 2000.

Actually heard this Friday night at dinner. How many places have that on the free play juke box?

Nothing frustrates me more with the band that they do not take the time an effort to reach back and play some of the gems they have.

Two more that I would love to hear.

Get On With Your Life

I'd take Pegasus in a heartbeat.
This seem like a better fit for JaBuMa imho too......better fit than Liz Reed, for example.

Outskirts is made for the current line-up. Gregg's vocals and B-3 underneath, just let Warren and Derek take solos wherever they feel.

High Falls is interesting. I think I'm forever spoiled on the Herring-era version. If he ever guests, or subsitutes for Warren for some reason, it would be fun to watch. A Derek/Jimmy/Chuck version would have some cool potential too.

Of the "few" that they don't really do anymore, the one I really miss hearing at a show is Blue Sky. It was always a highlight song for me in the first set usually 3rd or 4th up bout time Gregg needed a little break from singing. I've heard them do it with Gregg singing back in 2004 when they were preparing for the Eat A Peach aniiv play thru on XR or Sirrius, wasn't impressed with Gregg's take on the vocals. I'm looking forward to hearing the take with Warren's vocals from the closing night of this year's Beacon Run. I Think I'll like it more than with Gregg singing it, but wish they would come with an arrangement that suits the band & would attempt it more often. I do really like the instrumental takes they've dome pairing it with Little Martha & Anyday. While I was around for the brginning of the band, that's the sound that carried them thru the loss of Duane & Berry and to the heights of thier run as the #1 band in the land & it's what comes to mind as I remember those treks to early/mid 70's shows.

They've played "Blue Sky" quite a bit recently since they are celebrating the anniversary of Eat A Peach. I like Gregg's voice on it but I'm also looking forward to hearing Warren's take. I heard him sing it with Furthur or Phil & Friends - don't remember which. They could do a bunch of Dickey-sung songs if Warren, Gregg or even Oteil would sing them. Gregg misses the cue after the first solo. In his defense, it does sound like they're going back to the verse once they play the signature lick, but hey, he's old, sick and has rarely sung the song so I forgive him.
