I don't agree that he was "out of it all night". He was far better this Saturday than when I saw him on night 2 a few weeks ago. His voice was stronger and he really didn't miss any cues. I do hope he's alright though. It's not like Gregg to leave a show early.

Were you at the same show as me? Here's what I experienced..the band could have been cited for loitering during the first three songs, no energy, to me Gregg sounded weak. He cut 'Needle and the damage done' way short..he missed a vocal cue in Dreams two or three times, it was a series of false starts.

I'm not criticizing just telling you what I saw. if he left the stage he must have been feeling really bad and I doubt it came over him all at once coupe that with an extended set break...you figure it out.

Of course now will begin even more intense
speculation on Gregg's health including by me but where the heck is his doctor in all this. Actually met a guy at the Amsterdam last weekend who said he was his doctor but " I figured all that big talks worth doodly squat". It would be a real shame if he is performing against his orders. I certainly hope he can get relief from his pain. Good thing for him this is only a ten show run. Hoping all he needs is a break and he can let himself slowdown to recover. Certainly will be thinking about him.

Considering his general state of health, age and the fact that these shows start at 8 and run to 11, I think/hope its most likely that Gregg may just be plain old sick. Hope this is the case and that he feels better soon.

Get well Gregg

In addition to last nights show, I was also there on the 14th and at the Orpheum on 12/3. From my vantage point, it appears to me that Gregg has been digging very very deep to pull off these performances. I'm not going to get into the missed cues, forgotten lyrics, Derek's coaching or any other of that bullsh!t when he is obviously doing what he loves and giving everything he's got to give the best performance he's capable of every night. But this man is obviously not well.

He was supposed to have the Hernia's repaired after his Jan tour but other health concerns made it impossible to do just yet. Even if he had a simple cold they wouldn't be able to so let's just keep him in our thoughts and prayers that things get under control soon for him. I love him so..... God Bless this man!!

Well this is not good. I hope Gregg is not pushing too hard to get back on stage, and is not trying to prove something. All the best to him.

As 'mudflabgirl'(I think ) said and I agree when Gregg changed the lyrics in 'Needle and the Damage' done to 'Every sick man is like the setting sun' I froze as well. Clearly it was a bad night for Gregg and he slipped in a little reality check for everyone to hear.

This certainly isn't the kind of news we want to hear.. It is concerning.. not alarming.... concerning.... and we will send prayers and get well wishes to him by the peach load full.. Please Get Well Gregg and take of yourself.

Gregg is an amazing man on so many levels.. from his early days with the ABB in losing his brother , trying to self medicate that pain away.. to struggle with all his demons and win them , to continue his struggle with his new found health and what it means to be healthy. Also wanting to give his fans his best at each and every show even after such illness and recovery.. It is alot and a strain.. we, as fans are forgiving and most understanding of his plight.. If you happen to be at a show that wasn't what you were expecting from him..it all could be worse.. He could have stopped touring and then it would be ~ quiet ~ no music coming out of him for us to listen too.. I am happy he gives us the BEST OF HIMSELF.. he pushes to make it happen.. Last night was unfortunate for him and the fans.. I am sure he hated leaving the stage which added to the pain.. I am sure it was a great show nonetheless..

Prayers and well wishes on the way to Gregg... We love you...

Hope Gregg takes all necessary measures to get his health back on track ... hernia surgery, rest, whatever it takes. Sending prayers for health his way. I don't think he would have walked off that stage unless he was feeling really bad ... hope he listens to what his body is telling him.

I left the show before the oncore and saw gregg holding his gut and was being helped getting in to a black van. He looked like he was in pain. Some one said that he has a hernia and its been an issue. Lets all pray to our higher power for Greggs health>>

Also, my understanding is that Gregg has multiple (3?) hernias and they are a result of his transplant surgery and in the area below his sternum (where they have been, indeed, visible.)
No doubt he is in serious pain, yet deeply conflicted -- wanting to be on stage and giving his all and trying to not disappoint anyone. I know from helping to care for family and friends over the years that there comes a time when one cannot face anymore doctors -- treatments -- hospitals. You just want to be well and out doing what you love to do. And yet -- some ailments need 'fixing' and 'treating' and rest -- there is no way around it. To quote a well-known song "It just ain't easy." Indeed. Please, take good care of yourself, Gregory.

Sudden shoulder pain can indicate imminent cardiac problems, it is probably the best thing that he did leave early rather than push himself when he did not feel well.

Today's the band's official anniversary so you know at least one person up there in heaven will be looking down and mobilizing forces to see that he gets the help he needs. Angels do get dispatched operating rooms when need be.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7kF47qRkmA&feature=related

How it all works is this, sounds correspond with different areas of your auric field and body. Sounds can heal these areas. When there is disease in the body or sickness, the sounds and frequencies at certain Hz resonances can heal you.

Musical notes correspond to difference frequencies.

E is 330 Hz

D is 297

A is 440 Hz

Now with a problem such as a hernia, yes you need surgery to fix it, but once the procedure has been done, you can use sounds and resonance energy to heal faster and to stay well.

Even cancers have frequencies they respond to, but the AMA and the gulogs would not let the Dr.'s who figured it out, heal their patients that way. Every disease has a frequency that can help and in some cases reverse the problem.

That is what music should be for, to be used in conjunction to promote healing and protect people from negative energies.

You always seem to say it best. I felt the show I saw on Saturday 3/17 was one of the best ABB show I have experienced. Gregg just needs to do what's best for him whatever that is.

I am really sorry to hear this Hope Gregg feels better soon.

Gregg has gone through so much the past couple of years. Because he managed to keep touring, and even released a Grammy-nominated album during that time, I think some fans haven't fully realized exactly how lucky we are Gregg is still here at all.

I hope he takes tonight off if he needs it. I'm sure people would be disappointed, but I just hope Gregg is willing to "give himself permission" to miss tonight's show if necessary.

Gregg's bandmates need to step up the plate and tell him to stay home and rest. That will take some of the heat off Gregg for wanting to push on, when he clearly should be home healing, fishing and taking it easy.

I was indeed. I was at night two of the run two weeks ago and Gregg sounded so much better last night. He missed a few cues on Dreams but nothing like when he botched the whole song of Stand Back two weeks ago. In my opinion Gregg was pretty strong last night.

Also I did notice Gregg blow his nose during the jam of Dreams. He might just be dealing with a cold but as other people have said you can see the hernia bulge under his shirt during the acoustic numbers.
