Doug is staying at the same Econo Lodge that I am staying at. They say it is 1 1/2 miles from the venue. Not sure if that is good walking distance or not. Being this is at a ski mountain like Mountain Jam I would think that there will be some up hill walking involved. Don't think I will be doing any more walking than need be especially if the August heat is kicking in. Rooms are very reasonably priced though at $65 per night plus fees which brings it to about $75 per night.

Not much for posting but i will on this.
I have been to a couple hundred ABB shows and the Lackawanna County Sherriff's Dept (Scranton) was by far the worst to deal with i have EVER seen.
A friggin nightmare every time i was there.
And i behave myself!

Holy **** e! What a lineup...

I remember when Warren and Woody showed up at Montage in 2000, I think, to jam with the Bros....it was a BIG deal....I think it might have been the first time since they had left. Still have that show somewhere.

I hope this comes to pass and everyone has a great time.

And Lamdog, if you're reading this, hope you're doing well, Bro....and where did that guy fly that taxi again? LMFAO...

I stayed at that Econo Lodge for Furthur Festival about a billion years ago (well actually 1997) and it really is a HIKE to the venue. And its not a very nice hike either, especially at night. You have to walk along this two lane road that is dark and has a lot of traffic on it, especially after a show. Then once you get to the "entrance" its an additional mile at least to the venue itself. All along a road, again with lots of traffic and no sidewalk.

It is very hilly, much of the hike there, expecially toward the end is steeply uphill. Parts of the return journey (the last quarter mile or so back to the hotel) is pretty steep uphill as well.

Allow a good hour for each direction.

The problem is that that after a show, it takes quite a while to get out parking wise as everyone has to eventually merge into one lane of traffic. And that one lane eventully comes out to a road that either has a traffic light, or cops, so even that one lane is only moving part of the time.

Lets be positive, its 2012 and the Allmans are hosting another festival. Its not Wanee but its a festival in the NE We should all be jumping for joy instead of tearing into every negative thing about it.

Love the price, the artists and its proximity to NY. Woudl I like to see Santana and Phil on here as well, defintely but it would probably drie the price way up too. I am just happy to be abpoe to go to anything called Peachfest

Anyone know the difference between the regular and VIP camping ticket? They're both $35??

Any thoughts on how quickly camping tickets take to sell out? they wrote there is limited availability on the site..

Thanks

Well everything is "limited" even if there are 150,000 tickets available.

This is a pretty good deal. Only a little more (with camping and fees) for one Beacon ticket.
