Way, way too many jerk offs talking in the crowd!!!!! Anyone who want to talk through such beautiful music should be thrown out of the freakin' theatre and have a scarlet S tattooed to their foreheads so they can't ever get back into another show and ruin it for the real music lovers. There are plenty of bars around for all of the a-hole talk during the music jerks to go and talk all they want. That $hit drives me crazy and it seems to be getting worse and worse!!!

Last year's Beacon was by far my worse experience ever with talkers. Two ladies behind us, never listened to a single note of a single song. Talked incessantly about their kids, their extracurricular activities, about confronting teachers, coaches, anyone else who tried to discipline them. The louder the band got, the louder they got. True New York City rednecks. My first real negative experience with New Yorkers. Our take was that it was a tragedy that some kids were going to have to grow up with that for mothers.
But I guess it's the way we're headed now.
That was pretty bad during Little Martha.

Exactly, "Shut the F up"! I'm not so sure that the tallking at shows has increased or
that we are all more aware, but based on the youtube videos I've seen, and "Little
Martha" in particular, the level is high. I remember the days when we would have given
our right gonad to hear Dickey and Warren, etc... perform Little Martha. It may also
be, as some have mentioned, the age of the crowd?

Great video, Thanks very much for sharing.

See you all at Wanee!!

lol what a tool you are, calling other people "jerk offs". im sure you NEVER talk at a show. im sure your the same guy whos yelling at everyone to sit down too!! that's why its better your home now that your cranky. i went to every show this run and i didnt have a problem with any "talkers" as a matter of fact its just as loud as ANY rock concert. and just to let the record show, little martha was done in the beginning of set 2 where people are still walking in from the break, so its always alittle louder then. i know there are plenty of bars around the beacon, there are also plenty of clothing stores too, maybe you should go buy a pair of big boy pants, and leave the bitching to the girls

I've trained myself over the years to block out talkers. I also try to get aisle seats so I can step out and up a bit if I need to get away from someone (Usually my brother !) I've been lucky the past few years. I've often walked into the beacon thinking I was going to have issues with people and I've had great experiences for the most part. Chatter is really amplified under the over hang in the back of the floor though.

I 've been wary of beacon acoustic sets for this reason but I've heard the recording of the opening night and it was crisp with the crowd noise pretty much blocked out of the board recording but just a bit in there so it doesn't sound too sterile.

i think this youtube recording is probably just picking up a-lot of back round chatter and it probably wasn't too bad in person.

It is a concert and people are there to have fun with their friends. Talking a bit is fine IMO .Usually it's, trying to guess the song their jamming into, hey do you want a drink etc.. but dealing with full on conversations about nothing relating to the show is annoying

NYC Rednecks. I like that term ! I think I'll be borrowing that one.

was there last night and it was by far my worst experience with yappers. The acoustic set turns into a yap session.

I guess because there were like 6 or 7 right behind me talking through out the whole show but suually it does not bother me. Oh well, thats said the show was great last night.

Bull$hit and Fu_k you dude!!! I could care less about people standing and dancing but when I am at a music show there to LISTEN to music I don't need a$$holes talking over the music and NO I do not talk over the music. You want to talk, talk between songs and before and after the sets. You are probably one of the idiots who talk through an acoustic set like that so you feel the need to defend it. True music lovers listen to the music not talk over it. If you say you were at every show so far and the talking wasn't bad I say you are a friggin' liar because it is over the top evident during that Little Martha video that people are talking like it is some happy hour bar. Have a nice day loser!

I do understand the frustration with the talkers.. I am guilty but only slightly , it is always about the show I am seeing, like someone mentioned What song is it ? Wow, that was great, who's that quest, etc.. I am also very guilty of dancing and hate sitting in my seat..it is pert near impossible.. if the music moves me.. I am grooving to it.. My apologies to the people around me.. I usually say that and they always say~It's all Good~.. in fact , makes them want to dance too...
It has amazed me in the past at The Beacon Shows how people are moving around .. and talking, thou.. all part of the Beacon expereince.. and Randy loved the NYRednecks title I will also borrow that one.. LOL

You are right BIGV!!! He is obviously a troll jerk off who should just be ignored. He is for sure one of the loud and obnoxious talkers otherwise he wouldn't feel the need to defend them.

Hopefully someday Devon, Duane, and Berry perform a version of Little Martha live. That would be cool. Have the band and/or other family members join in too.

As for the talking stuff, I've asked people to keep it down if it was becoming bothersome to me. Most of the time, they complied.

Pete, interestingly, never called anyone out by name as a jerk off...

He called talkers jerk offs...

And he's right.

So too the drunken morons who scream, shout, talk on their cellphones,or anyone who does anything that is rude or inconsiderate to interfere with another person's enjoyment of the music.

Levon's Rambles model an ideal modern day concert setting, just as the Fillmore and many theaters us old folks went to in the past did...people were respectful, sat and listened or Uncle Bill personally threw you out....

But,these old hippie ways and ideals rapidly deteriorated and we have the concert scene of the modern day which mirrors society...a lack of kindness, decency and compassion....

I love when young people mock those of us who are older.....payback for the "generation gap" stuff back in the day

Maybe they need to have signs and enforce a standard of behavior

"No Smoking, No Talking, No Effing in the theatre during songs. Applause After songs is permissable, Dancing in the aisles if not obstructing other's views also permissable".

Little Martha is a beautiful piece of music, the only song Duane Allman ever wrote, and arguably the most "sacred" ABB song, for lack of a better word.

Anybody who would defend talking AT ALL during Little Martha doesn't deserve to have the words "ABBfan" in their handle.

Jerkoff.
