Not that it would be an opener but does anyone knw why we don't hear Desdemona or High Cost of Low Living that much? Excellent songs and even better that they were recorded by the current lineup

For my money, there is no better show opener than Don't Want You No More ---->Not My Cross to Bear.

I'm also thinking Ain't Wastin Time No More.
And to comment on some other comments here I couldnt' agree more that there is no better show opener than Don't Want You No More ---->Not My Cross to Bear. Though I do like a Statesboro opener as well to get the crowd going.
And I've seen a lot of folks recently hoping for a Desdemona comeback. I am not a fan of that song at all. I'm the first to acknowledge everyone has their own taste but that is just one of the few songs that just doesn't do it for me.

Since it's the year of the Peach, celebrating Eat A Peach, you might just get a Mountain Jam sandwich on night one!

Les Brers In A Minor which was how they started the 2007 Beacon show I attended.

Fair enough commentary on Desdemona. I think it is the jazzy jam that does it for me.

That would be awesome. The 09 Beacon version second set opener still gives me chills.
Blue sky jam shows up at the end of Anyday occasionally, as well.

My vote goes for the "new" Hot'lanta opener tonight.

Herbie sit in second set.
