careful what you wish for. next time you spin Revolver it might sound like the lead solo in Crimson and Clover.

Just kidding of course. Same thing happened to me, I started listening to the Beatles again because of the Revolver thread. One of these days I think I'll crank Abbey Road thru headphones, see if I can't hear some things I missed.

Pablo Fanque's circus poster changed in the post now, looks like this might be the real thing, turns out the one I first posted was a mockup made to sell to Beatle fans, according to the comments below the Smithsonian article. Found this poster on a Ringling museum site.

Topping this old thread - interesting companion piece to.the Sgt Pepper discussion. Pablo Fanque was the first black circus owner in Britain.

I love the use of the calliope in this tune! Again, the lyrics paint fantastic imagery! A departure from the mop-top, fab-four days! The genius behind this work can't be denied!
